CHINA RAISE INTEREST RATE AGAIN
Post Reply
1-1 of 1
On 27 April 2006, China raised interest rates for the first time since
October 2004, by 27 basis points from 5.45% to 5.85% . Then China shares mostly dropped double digits in May.
China Paper -25%
China Milk -20%
China Wheel -28%
China Essence -20%
China Fishery -35%
China Sun -35%
If this is any guide, the same quantum hike of 27 basis points this time
could be again negative for China shares. Let's be careful if you are holding Chinese stocks.
