No contra allowed for SC, need the exact  amount in your account  before you can  buy. So your cash is your limit.
Main advantage
- no min commission,  perfect for ultra small players.
- stop loss order  available
Disadvantage
- your stocks are held through Custodian account by SCB and not in CDP. Not sure the implications for rights issue  and all that.
- lousy trading platform, auto logout every 15 mins if inactive
- website hang once in a while. (you can expect you can't log in on the next  day when DJI crashed  1000 pts lol)

I'm using SAXO. Charge min $25 and 0.15%. Min 10K

Lucky you realized earlier. With dbs vickers I lost 2.4 mil. in 2011--2012. I am not boastful. They don't have stop lost plan at all, just keep asking to average down. Lucky now I am building back my wealth with others . Good luck to you!

Standard chartered is good. No minimum commission. A trade of $1000 only cost about $10 or less for commission. You can put stop loss as well
Kim Eng securities @ serangoon next mall. Look for chin lai. Tell him i recommend u.
Anyone can help? i'm new to stocks and shares, i'm currently using DBS vickers but i cannot find the stop loss order or trailing stop. Is there another broker in Singapore with low commission per trade. (small time player here)
