hmms.. i suppose just take it 10 bids up and down from last traded or closing ?
This morning I was looking at some small cap for taking small risks.  I tried to want to buy/sell ChinaSing Inv quotedat Buy 0.05 and Sell: 0.11.  Either side also cannot follow. Try buy or sell at 0.10 also cannot.  Test the quotes until  0.084 then acceptable. Tested and found that below 10 cents you can place a price range of $0.014 spread.  The brokers said they have made the announcement on the spreads ordered by the SGX.  Different prices have different spread ranges.  It is hard to remember when you are trading.
I think for counters above 1.00 you could place at 1.05 and wait for the market to reach there.  Counters below 10 cents, you cannot put 12 cents to sell.  I just try a few counters, and find it so odd.  I don't know whether we in Singapore are improving or we are degenerating.  Feel kind of alien cultures infiltrating our system. Dammmit.

Perhaps a longer-term picture may be in the works,
since the stock market or economies not necessarily
need to conform with 'linear' rules in it's unfoldment...

or it could mean the STI now is more or less stable already.....as it had recovered from lowest at 2528 on Oct 5....
or else when Greek started the EU crisis,    within 3 months,   STI   should have plunged to 1600 already   in 3rd quarter..
or what have you....

So you know how bad our position as a financial centre is?  Our reputation is really not good outside of Singapore. Inside we are really getting poorer with our stock portforlio degrading each day.  Someone here already advise to sell everything, think it was Victor/Victorian.  He is right.

That why, SGX might be marked down to its original prices years back, $1.00 in time to come!!  Kindly sell SGX and all bank shares.  Move your funds out to US and China and India |

I agree.  One exception is only keep the casino shares, i.e. Genting. Also the non-local company's shares because these foreign based companies will prospoer with their own countries doing better than Singpaore.  What do you say of S-Chips? US Stocks?

Within a small range of 1.4 cents allowed to queue.  That means add 1.4 cents to last close for a small cap is the max price you can queue to sell or buy.  If you want to buy you cannot buy at anything higher than 1.4 cents range, or even queue up to sell at the range of 1.4 cents over the last close.  So you cannot put up a desired price and then go away from the computer  to attend to something else |

Yes, I also tried it but even if it is what you said in the example that the existing quote is 0.05 and 0.10, last trade overnight at 0.08, you also cannot follow either to buy at 0.05 or follow sell at 0.10.  |

Do you notice that you cannot trade at your desired price, but has to
follow what is put up for you by the exchange?  Example, a counter say
last done is 0.08 (8cents) and that the exchange puts up a quote for
example: B0.05 S0.12, you cannot put up to buy at 0.10 or sell at 0.10
because the last price is done at 0.08 and the max to put up by you,
either B or S, is 0.094.You cannot put up (BS) at 0.10, probably you have
to ask the broker to put up and pay extra commission since it became an
assisted trade.    Don't know why Singaporeans authorities can come up
with such ridiculous ideas.  Sad to know this!! How to have a vibrant
market when, say Noble can fall 42 cents, and small counter cannot go up
2 cents? Ridiculous, don't you think so???
