When I was training powerlifting according to a westside inspired template I always had two active recovery days between the 4 main work days. On those days I just went in to the gym, did a bunch of high rep light stuff like leg curls, dumbbell swings, dumbbell flies, band pushdowns, cardio intervals on the stairmaster, exercise bike, whatever got some blood into worked areas.
