Privatization of listed company on the cheap can always be planned for some time before a decision is made. It requires cooperation from many sources, namely shortists, brokerage peoples, sgx peoples, mas peoples and bank peoples to give their blessings.   As takeovers on the cheap could benefit these peoples to share the pie which could be really big, there would be no hassles over the matter once decided upon.   Just imagine how many hundreds of millions of dollars could be made in this kind of procedure? Looking at it this way, Singaporeans investors are really stuuuuuuppppppiiiiid people, and cannot be compared to " dogs" as claimed to be by some people recently, otherwise the predators and proxies are really wicked crooks. Hayhayhay. RLMAO.

 

Small boys got no chance.   In Singapore where in everything Big Boys always call the shot   and every shot   can be arbitrarily against small shots, autocratic and often atrocious, actions based by habits and examples followed.  

This sort of cheap takeovers privatization are not uncommon, in fact they are very common.   No justice can be obtained by victims who stand to lose out.   Money made might even go to some pockets, you know who? 

 

they should also look at tye soon...4.9 cents dividend coming and the share px still have not moved much- 22 cents now... a return of more than 20 percent..... fantastic .

Meiban: Co. announced that Zhong Yong Holdings has made an offer for all the issued and paid-up ordinary shares of Meiban by way of a scheme of arrangement at an offer price of $0.40/share.

The Offeror intends to delist the Company from the SGX upon the Scheme becoming effective in accordance with its terms and believes that the privatisation of the Co would provide greater flexibility to the Offeror and key mgt to promote greater efficiency and competitiveness through changes in strategy or investments.

what happens if you buy higher than the offer price? does it means a loss or ppl taking a bet that the CEO has to offer a higher price? Any sifu can advise...

 

people buying at 0.405/0.41 despite takeover offer at 0.4. hmmm...?

 

did the price go above 40 recently and did anyone here buy? still holding???? indeed the px is lower than nav and thecompany has great potential...hopefully sgx shows its muscles and protect local investors in this case...

Can't help buy notice a very large volume done at 0.415 - seems like a deliberate push to that level , than share starts it's distribution.  So how did that calculated 40cents comes about ? - shouldnt there be even an attempt to match the actual value of the company. IF SGX agrees to their proposal,.. I really dun know what to say,.. no cow sense...full of sai...
