the right issue is up for trading, I think you better contact cdp for this matter. If you can access your account at cdp.com.sg, you can check whether you are given any right issue.

unnamed79,

sound like you are trying to know the procedure of the Rights, this is covered well by CDP procedure.. May be you can see the links below to understand all you need to know about the procedure.

Q: Will shareholders be receiving notification about when to pay how to pay to exercise the rights?
Is the notification by mail or what? I have no idea where to go and pay to exercise my rights leh....

A: yes, CDP will send you a big envelop containing prospectus, ARE form and the special envelop. This will occur on BCD+3, since BCD is Aug31, you should see this very soon, this week may be 5 or 6 Sept.

Then you should check your CDP account via internet to see that you are allocated with 100000 of Nil-Paid Rights shares with should have Lantro Vis R as its counter ticker. Since you want to eXERCISE, so you DO NOTHING during the Rights Trading periods of Sept 7-17, in other words, YOU DO NOT SELL your 100K Lantro Vis R

When to pay: before Sept 21 as announced in sgx website unless the prospectus is different and date on prospectus is the correct date.
How to pay to exercise the Rights :  by ATM, or follow the prospectus, by sending the special envelop with ARE Form plus payment. Follow the procedure. However, ATM is the simplest to do.

 Hope this helps..

wat i mean is u cant be buying rights shares on the market at 1.3cents!!! rights are tradable, sorry for the misinterpretation. but the idea of buying more rights shares than u r entitled is not valid. u can apply to buy more, but not necessary u'll be alloted.

rights are tradeable.

It has value, and you can sell it if you dont want it.

if you hold it, or buy it, you then exercise it by paying up the relevant amount to the company and get shares in exchange.

rights are not tradable on sgx. what you are alloted is what u get. if not like wat u said, everyone wld be making profits just by buying rights shares in the market

rights shares are an entitlement, not a free for all to buy.

Hi all, will the rights shares of LantroV be tradeable on SGX ?

Cause if so, ppl can just buy more rights shares than they are entitled to and avg down significantly such that they make a profit straight away, provided the share price remains at 0.05~0.07 region.

Eg, I have currently 50 lots(Bought at 0.185). Thus I am entitled to 100 lots from the rights issue.

So in total if I excercised my rights, I would have a total of (50Kx0.185)+(100Kx0.013) = $10550 invested. Last traded price of 0.07.

So if the rights are available on the market, I just need to buy another 150 lots at (150Kx0.013) = $1950 to avg down further such that now 1 share = (10550 + 1950) / 300lots = $ 0.0417

Assuming last done price stay at $0.07, I immediately make gain of around 67%. Is this scenario possible? Theoretically speaking.

Thanx golfgila! Now I understand better how things work :)

but you mean you just top the $70 and you will then be entitled to 20 more lots?

today's price is like 0.07, so 20 lots will cost $1400 in the market. so it is really a good deal to get the 20 lots for so-called $70 ??

hope u dun mind all my questions... previously i only came across of dividends :P
