With UBS AG and Porter buying up the shares from the open market, the free float has shrunk.  It used to be 70 million shares. With Arisag sale of 10million shares , the free float was then 80 million.. Guess what  now? With the recent 47,887,000 shares in total bought by UBS and Porter, the free float shd not be more than 32 million shares.  Downtrend shd be limited now coz' the syndicates who have been playing LMA down have no more shares to play with!!  Cheers!

A rare shock for investors as it is uncommon to see a listed company with an "international image" underperforming.  Must wait for the main copycat, Ambu, to be weeded out of the market for LMA to turn round.  Unfortunately, the legal process overseas tends to be prolonged - not as efficient as Singapore's.  Better not judge a book by its cover in future leh!

One must realise that all talk, and all ideas, are superflous...

The only thing that matters is how the stock is performing...

And this is plainly seen from the simplest bar chart (ie. no need sophisticated technical stuff) ... Smiley

Can't imagine a company that is stronger than many of other smaller companies  whose  shares command a premium of at least 100% over its IPO price just after being  listed for six months being completely "ignored" by retail investors and FMs or BBs.  Look at its  low daily trading volumes.  If I were LMA mgt , might as well delist it coz' the mkt does not appreciate the fundamentals of LMA.   Today, so far, not  a single lot done - wah,  imagine LMA, a "multi-million dollar"  company has become a penny stock!!

Hi hohokit

Can't be PR, leh.  Not to appear "insulting", it's just that the "manipulators" must be multi-billionaires in US$ (or euro $) and are not "hungry" for $$$$.  By them not pushing up or down LMA, the usual hordes of daily contra players (short seller or long players) are not playing LMA.   This might explain the low daily trading volumes.

Hi ten4one

Most of the time, the analysts of other shares were correct. Unfortunately for LMA, the analysts of three different research houses have been proved "wrong" so far,  based on fundamental and technical analysis at different times.  They could'nt have acted in 'collusion' to mislead investors, could they?  What could have gone wrong?  Any SJ participant care to shed some light on the "mystery" of this elusive creature, LMA.

Aiyah hikitty, you really believe in what these Analysts said? But you must also try to understand them. They also have to make a living by saying 'somethings' so that their bosses won't ask them to leave by doing nothing. Some will just copy one another's works and phrase them differently. Of course, there're some really good ones whcih you hardly hear them. But when you see and hear the news, most probably it is weeks old or months old.  Cheers!

LMA  Mgt are really a bunch of NATO(No Action Talk Only. It convened an extraordinary  mtg on 1 March 2007 to approve the share purchase mandate and another one  on 11  August.2007 for shareholders' mandate to renew  the mandate.  Sadly, it has not acted.  If it had acted after 1 March 2007 on  to mop up the faint-hearted LMA stags or impatient LMA investors,  LMA wouldhd have broken out of its low prices, instead of dipping downwards. A research house (OCBC?) recently suggested that its fair price shd be much more than its current 58cents, but the fair price  has not been realised.  LMA is very elusive - two other research houses also suggested in 2005 that its target price shd be higher than its IPO price, but both their  recommendations have not been realised.

28,227,000  shares were offered to the public during its IPO exercise.  Pse check me if I am wrong.  This could account for the dip in its share price so far though its income has not reduced drastically.  Sadly, when the public size is too big during its IPO, its price tends to be dragged down coz' most retail investors are "stags".  This explains why the present public size of new listings is nowadays a mere say 5 % of the float, leaving the majority in the hands of placement holders.   With most retail investors having sold, LMA shd move after having slept since being listed in March 2005.   Other less reliable counters have moved north, wonder how fast LMA is going to move north to make up for so much "lost" time!!

Hi doshur

Why did you sell LMA so fast?  If you had bought recently,  there's no need to fear. Fear that it will hit 10 cts?   Buying any share is like an investment, unless u r a trader.  With such a low trading volume, there's no need to fear.  Based on TA, it is NOT overpriced.

There are many "wu liao"Smiley bbs (or shall I call them "traders") who accumulate 1 lot each time to test water.  They just have to hit the screen @ different points of the day.  The brokerage would be based on the total at the end of the day. LMA price has remained under water coz' of the small size of the free float (abt 70million shares - according to info provided by fellow SJ participant, tradechancellor).
