Hulumas, if all you said is true, I think u have more than 500 lots of LMA. Since you do not need the cash, why not just park it there.. As so many people are ahead of you, over IPO prices, even 1.00++

But to BUY more definitely is not a good strategy, right now, and this counter. I belive when the counter is dropping from 0.63 gradually everyday, u said is a buying opportunity, that long journey, made you "buy up" so many lots in such a short time frame (less than 2 weeks) -- very unwise!!! If you told me LMA drop from 0.63 to 0.545 using 3-6 months, then, u buy up more lots.. then, I still accept it... but with just 2 weeks time frame, I don't think it is a wise move unless you are sure the price movement will take action real soon, (upwards).

Dear Hulumas, this is a no-brainer.  OPTION 1.  BUY more if you have the spare change.

Hi ipunter & hikitty, I think H-san is just trying to be funny.  Don't believe he is short selling.  Believe H-san has done his research into this stock and will profit big time from it in due course.

Catching a falling knife is ok only if you have done your home work and the knife is not over priced in the first place.  If there is any comfort for stuckist, you may like to know that John Lim the former CEO has collected close to 300 lots at average of 0.75.  Surely, he can't be so far off base.

Hey, relax and take it easy.  LMA (the gold standard) is going to be around for the next 10-15 years.  If you have to sell, I'm sure you can find a better time to do it.    I am in a buying mood again.

Dear Humulas...

Hikitty is right about the timing... There's not much to be gained by shorting when the stock is at the all-time low, since the risk-reward factor is not great.

Shorting should be done as close to the beginning of the trend as possible, not at the tail end of a trend.

But since you have been holding, then maybe a better strategy is for you to reduce your holdings in this counter and then when there are signs of a trend reversal, you can hop back on board with more confidence than before. Just a suggestion... :)

Hi Hulumas
How to make kopi$$$ by short selling now (i.e. not naked short selling since u have  the shares) when the  price is at  historical low?  According to Moneymatters (under  the posting entitled "Downtrending of LMA shares),  the operators will laugh all the way to the bank coz' weak holders are selling down, unless LMA is going to close down.  May be LMA will be the subject of a takeover offer, just like Landwind, which is undervalued? .

Dear iPunter,

I am going to change my mind and perhaps, cut loss and start short selling. How is it?

Digressing somewhat... it would be interesting to watch F&N's price in the coming weeks, vis-a-vis Temasek involvement.

Dear Readers,

If it is further down from this present price level, it will be my buying opportunity then.

On a strong downtrend. Volumes not too good either.

LMA is another share which has "faint-hearted or chicken-hearted" manipulators.  The share dipped after it reported a reasonably handsome third quarter profit.  Very illogical manipulating when other shares can even run up even when they report less attractive profits.  Take profit or S/L and move to other better performing shares.  A "disgraceful" share which has dipped below its IPO price of 88 cents for some time.

Temasek dumped LMA anot long after  it was allocated the placement shares.  Reason  simple :  it went below its IPO price for some time after it started being traded on a " "when issued" basis..  When it recovered slightly, Temasek unloaded all its placement shares slightly above $1. Medium term prospects seems "bleak" for this share, that's why Temasek had dumped it.    When a share has been a "letdown" for the past one year or so, most value investors will dump them at the drop of the hat.!! Do u expect value investors to hold onto the baby (literally ) for more than one year?  LMA  FY2006's  performance should be better than FY 2005's  - dat's why it is  it has remained firm for some time.  Wake  up (zzzzzzzzzz) - time for a session of  healthy mornng exercises
