Even in such turbulent times, HHH is holding well. Something must be brewing there. Recently, it received US$100M of financing from a syndicate of banks. I'm very positive on this counter. Watch this space.
Our friends (or predators) at Mackenzie Cundill Investment Management Ltd. has just accummulated another 1% or 4m shares. Sorry to those who throw their holdings to these deep pocket guys. Hold tight, and don't allow them to buy over your shares at bargain prices. Remember, NTA for HHH is around 82c.
Hi tuntan8888,
Thanks for your CIMB GK Links. I had sold away my Huan Hsin share after reading its report as out there still have some others more attractive stock.
CIMB GK issued sell recommendation today: target Price reduced to 60.5c (from 82c previously). 2Q EPS of 0.5c is a shock to many investors. HH also faced strong CNY (higher operation cost), low USD (billings drop) and general rise in cost of plastics (notebook casings).

Q2 2007 report was not impressive at all, Earning only have 0.5 Cents as compare with last yaer Q2 was 1.57 Cents. Don't you think is time to offload the share?
All will be revealed at the results announcement on 13th August 2007 - hope this is the correct date.
Aug 13, 2007 | Q2 2007 HUAN HSIN HOLDINGS LTD Earnings Release - 12:00am ET |
Maybe a share placement to institutional investor is in place, just my guess.
Caveat Emptor.
Thanks tuntan8888 for your valuable insight - did anyone mention at the AGM about stock buyback? If the Co. can have a mandate to have a 5-10% share buyback, I'm sure the share price will be in check. Maybe they have other plans, and let's hold out till the results announcemen to see what's brewing at Huan Hsin, my darling!
Hi jensonlaw,
HH don't have S.44 tax credit if that's the special div u referring to, then there is none ('cos HH pay little Singapore tax as their main ops are outside of Singapore). But this does not mean that the Board will not declare more dividend above the usual 0.8c per share (interim). Unfortunately for the past yrs div yield has been very low at 1.6c per year (Interim + Final). At the last AGM (when I also attended) some minority shareholders have suggested declaring more div. in order to boost its share price. The other suggestion made at the last AGM was for bonus issue to boost share price. The ball is in their court so to speak, and we don't know if the Chairman will act on these suggestions or not. One consolation is this: the 2 funds (Mackenzie Cunhill & Templeton/Franklin) are not going to sit still waiting for action as they hold over 21%. Something is brewing.....
Anyone to confirm the following:

Q2 2007 HUAN HSIN HOLDINGS LTD Earnings Release Any special dividends or bonus issue coming along? Cross our fingers! |
When is the announcement for the 2Q result coming along? And heard anything about special dividend payment or bonus issue? Or even rights or warrant issue to raise more warring fund? TP of 70c coming shortly, and once it is breach, it should head much much higher. Hold tight and see the trajectory into outer space ........
Buy before private equity takeover.
Mackenzie Cundill Funds are accumulating Huan Hsin, bought 1% on 28 Jun, increase from 12% to 13%. Most Funds have a safety limit of 10% of a single stock holding unless that one is a steal (i.e. either very cheap or has great upside potential). The other fund is Templeton Franklin Fund - that holds about 8% of Huan Hsin.

Hi Optimist,
Ya, It has been quite frustrating for many of us. One thing I notice is this. At start the price will go up but toward closing time the price will fall back to previous or lower. Is it some BBs trying to suppress the closing price for whatever reason, I don't know.
It's a good share with very reasonable price tag if we talk about its Price/Book Value and its Profit but its price seem like couldn't move up. Anyone can give me the reason?
What a relief! Cleared major roadblock on 1 single trade - at 66c (1m+). though soften a bit at end. IF substantial shareholders (Templeton/Franklin or Mackenzie) want to push, it could easily hit NTA of 82c in the coming weeks or days....
Saw that? 66c cleared just like that! Lai leow ................................ Watch this space! 09:04:28 |

Confidence of the stock is the King!
More and more feel that this kind of detailed analysis is useless at a bull market.
Looking at the unsecured loan, you get an amount of S$55.31m, which is 64.5% of the total loan amount. Who would give you that much of unsecured loan, unless you're a creditable and honest business entity, agree?
BTW, the FY07 will end 30 Jun 07, and upon release of the good result (I trust and have faith), there should be good news for all shareholders. Vested!
Hi Alexmay,
To include Payables, u hv to include Receivables & stocks, otherwise lopesided. Let's compare TCA vs TCL.
Total Current Assets (TCA) = $456m ; Total Current Liabilities (TCL) = $283m.
Therefore NET Current Assets (incl. of liquid cash) = $173m.of which liquid cash is $97m.
Current ratio of 1.6 is a very solid no. for contract manufacturers.
You may have 97million cash in the bank, but what about the liabilities, in the same balance sheet the aggregate amout of group's borrowing as of 31Mar07 is also huge. Borrowings secure/unsecured payable in less than a year is about 87.736mill. Payable in more than a year is 63.665mil. So I think the liabilities is much more than the cash in the bank. I did not look at the operating cash flow though. I am also looking at this share too.
Bal.sheet @ 1Q07 (see link below). Higher OD 'cos of capital expenditure.
