i tink they issue too many new shares such that almost every1 got a share in this stock. it maybe quite hard to move unless financials come out confirming their corn business is doing very good complementing their construction business. i pulled out already. i forsee another jasper good prospects but price neber move a single half cent much. they should really control the number of shares floating in the market  :(

This one i think the weakness is in revenue growth?

This year construction big boom with many more projects up the pipeline. Guess we may see some improvement in topline?

Any FA expert can share on this babies FA? Believe construction is still core business but they very quite on construction front...only talk about their D'lithium...

In the near future this stock is good as they are harvesting corn. As we know corn price is rising so fast then Luzhou TP has been revised downwards several notch due to the corn price. Last week contra players are out today with price base forming at 9 cents. For long term this stock should do well at least juz base on their corn venture.

SJ administrator, this stock has been renamed to HLH so the Forum should change accordingly too. Thanks :)

This company has already been renamed HLH Group.

It expects its venture into the agri-sector to contribute 60-70% of earnings within the next three years. CEO Lam Yue Pak said agriculture is HLH's new focus though the company will continue its current business of property development on a smaller scale.

HLH is investing about US$50m to grow corn on 40,000 ha of land in North Sumatra, Indonesia. HLH expects agriculture - both corn and trading-related agri-businesses - to account for as much as 60-70% of total earnings within the next three years.

In the first phase of HLH's pilot corn farming exercise, yield across the three hectares farmed was more than seven tonnes per hectare. In 2008, HLH hopes to farm 5,000 to 10,000 hectares of land for its first commercial harvests.

With plans for two harvests a year, and an expected yield of 8 tonnes per hectare, this could mean 80,000 to 160,000 tonnes of corn. And if corn prices stay above US$4 a bushel, or about $240 a tonne, HLH could be looking at $19.2m to $38.4m in revenue for FY08.

There is a good growth potential in HLH's agricultural business in view of the unabated demand for agricultural products such as corn, driven by consumer demand due to growing global populations and industrial demand for biofuels as clean and viable alternative sources of energy.

According to a February 2007 report by J.P. Morgan, corn prices are likely to reach unprecedented highs in the next two to three years, as a growing ethanol boom in the U.S. is likely to severely limit its availability for food and feed use. Average corn prices are expected to be about $4.03/bushel in 2007, up sharply from $2.51/bushel in 2006, a jump of 61%.

Mr Lam added: "Statistics from the United States Department of Agriculture showed that the world faced a deficit of about 38.6 million metric tonnes of corn in 2006. As such, our focused efforts on large-scale corn cultivation will bring about faster returns for our shareholders due to the robust global demand and relatively shorter cultivation period of corn compared to other crops."

GOOD NEWS is HERE!

HLH Group?s corn planting pilot exercise in Indonesia achieves outstanding results

First phase of pilot exercise achieved yield of over 7 metric tonnes per hectare, almost two times of Indonesia?s farming industry average

Singapore, 15 June 2007 ?

The Group is commencing a second phase pilot farming exercise on a 200 hectares land as part of the Group?s analysis of crop yield over different periods of the year and the larger land size. The results achieved will be made known by end of this year.

The two-phased pilot farming exercise is carried out within the 40,000 hectares land parcel in Toba Samosir. HLH has previously entered into a co-operation agreement with the Regency Government of Toba Samosir in Sumatra, Indonesia for the proposed development of corn plantations to promote and market hybrid corn seeds.

"We are pleased with the positive results achieved in the first phase of our pilot farming exercise, which has exceeded the industry average in Indonesia. Having assembled an experienced agricultural team including professors from renowned institutions, the desired output was underpinned by our good production techniques and practices. More importantly, we are confident to begin commercial corn planting by the start of 2008."
SGX Mainboard-listed HLH Group Limited1 ("HLH" or the "Group") today unveiled the results achieved during the first phase of its five-month long corn planting pilot exercise in Toba Samosir, Sumatra, Indonesia. Culminated in end May on a one-hectare piece of land, the Group cultivated hybrid corn seeds with an average yield2 of more than 7 metric tons per hectare. This has exceeded Indonesia?s farming industry average yield of 3.5 - 4.5 metric tonnes per hectare.
