I am also new and am trying to learn too.

Just wander the impact to existing share holder that bought in the shares with $0.10 par value.

When the par value reduce from $0.10 to $0.001, will the unit of existing shareholder be adjusted too (i.e increase) ?

Hi fsl123

I am not familiar with this stock at all -- not in my portfolio.  Just like you, I am also trying to learn about investing.  Perhaps, those who are holding this stock may want to lend a helping hand.

Looking at the Announcement, Sec 2.4.2 illustrates how cap reorg could happen, from par value of $0.10 to $0.001.

I understand that after the cap reorg, the Co has the flexibility to issue shares for fund raising (Sec 2.2.1 and Sec 2.4.1).  If more shares are issued, there may be an increase of funds, but wouldn't there be more hands to the distributable profit, if any?  Do consider whether this stock meets your own expectation.  (BTW, the financial rpt for the period ending 30 Sept 2007 is posted in SGX website).

Hi fsl123

Interesting situation....can't even "count your pennies" anymore.

Does the announcement dated 3 Aug 2007 posted on SGX help answer your Q?

I am a newbie.  Company proposed to 'reduce the PAR value of each share in the capital of the company from US$0.10 to US$0.001'.

Anyone know that the above mean and how it impact existing share holder and the share price ?

Many thanks.
