I look back seven sins in stock investing declared 3 years ago.

as of now, proud to announce I have abstained from all except one.

may all be reminded unless u hv very compelling reasons to do otherwise.

all these sins have been achieved with blood n sweats in various hard fought battles over decades.

1) Buy Cover Warrant in bear market

2) Buy using Contra

3) Buy IPO

4) Buy using borrowed money

5) Buy using CFD without further reserve

6) Buy when it is high, higher and highest

7) Buy when in the first year of a bear market

Pls contribute your sins to remind our members how to be rich by not being poor first.

it definitely applies to both markets because if you dun keep yr discipline in the bull market. slowly yr mistake will snowball into a big bubble waiting to be pop when the bear starts to wave at u.

just like nick leeson who thought he can turn around by creAting a dummy acc to recoup its initial losses, slowly n surely he snowball to break the oldest bank in England.

the first step if a wrong one will lead to a catastrophic results, esp if u think the first few time is ok. cos it will become a habit then an attitude n finally u are blindfolded.

and mysteriously the market will give u a last good kick into the quick sand.

Excellent point

The market can start off by making people treat it as a good friend (by letting them win some money)...

But thereafter, in the ensuing months/years, as sure as the sun will rise, it will morph itself into a great teacher...  Smiley

This is very true but sometime you know, things gone out of control, then terrible things do happen,

Human nature are like that , when you think you are top of the world, you start to increase your chips , that;s where problem knock at the door.

Of course, a rigid risk management system must be in place but mostly only 1 out of maybe 1000 has such discipline or is in the DNA to prevent a down fall. and of course you must be a full time rather than a fly by night trader.

So to play safe, throw this worry away unless you are really Master of discipline.

Shorting not for the amateur nor part time investor.

Yours truly ::

I have been investing in penny stocks...You can make money when penny stocks go down. It's called short selling and while it's not exactly for a newbie, if you're up for it you should definitely try it out.Invest with a small amount of money which is the best way to begin for the first time in penny stocks trading because it lets you get a feel for the stock market. Besides it also keeps you safe from any major losses. There is little risk for loss with a small amount invested, but your potential knowledge and experience gained is unlimited.

Penny stocks are the best for investment and double your money....Penny Stocks are those stocks which sell for less than one dollar per share. Most penny stocks have only a few million dollars in net tangible assets and have a short operating history.
