EastonBay, normally i go orchard after 6pm......parking fees is more cheap, fixed rate of $2.10 after 6pm at shaw centre. my bf will turn in from stevens road to claymore hills road n park in Shaw Centre.this way can avoid the ERP. think u n many others may already know this route, but just writing here.
ah yo, i see ..the last day of 5% gst, no wonder.... orchard is toooo overcrowed yesterday too.... i normally go to orchard every Sat... but yesterday was surprisingly extremely overcrowded. ....long queues outside restaurants everywhere too... for me, i dont like to queue, just any food that can fill up my stomach will do.
since we are at it. Say 'goodbye' to good old 5%GST

Convenience and diversity is what I like about Vivo. It has everything under one roof. But I stress, I like Vivo only on weekday. Never been there on weekend because of the much publicised crowd there. It has been confirmed by my friend who live in the Carribean (nearby vivo).
Yah. That's why I try to avoid Orchard on weekday also. So crowded and with ERP, premium parking fees etc. *sigh* Need to make more $$ from stock market. But now and then I will miss Orchard road and will go to there (mostly by public transport) to get the uniquely Orchard experience. Otherwise, I will become a mountain tortoise! haha.
Actually I don't find Vivo that solid leh.... dunno why so crowded, always cannot find parking and the shops almost the same as those in Orchard. But I like the rooftop garden a lot... haha..
vivo city is a place I avoid on weekend at all cost. It is like a mad house every weekend since it opened late last year, not just last day of 5% GST. However, I like to go there on weekday. It's actually rather quiet. A huge mall with not so many people.
Wah.... today I went to Vivo and there was so many people trying to do some last minute shopping before the 7% GST comes!
