This is part and parcel of playing stocks. One alternates between euphoria and profound depression.  :(   :)

As iPunter pointed out, the XD was last week, the dividend is $0.02. the correction is within the expectation.

For all stocks, as long as you have bought it and held it until the XD day, you will surely get the dividend ,coz then the stock will be still be under your name.

Hello, I am a newbie and datapulse is my 1st and only investment so far, just to have a feel of the market.

Reason for buying is basically due to high hopes on MS business, as well as the good dividend.

But I have 1 question, I vested in Sept, and am I eligible for the dividend this december?

oic... then there should be no problem for you as the drop is to factor in the div. But this stock hardly moves much to be attractive. :)

Datapulse

Something is unusual about this stock's price action.

Yesterday, the STI is heavily down, but this stock didn't respond with any sell-down and held steady with high volume..

It is ironic that it instead fell so much today when the STI is strongly up!!!

Sometimes this can mean something good is about to happen!

Well, only sometimes.

price should stay around 17.5c for some time! U  bought at 18.5c and with $20 div, yr returns are 10% ++. Better than putting in the bank for a year!

yup dividend is good, but price is going way down, not sure if vista can save this company.

i read the annual report and saw that quite a few stock options are given out too, but not exercised.

looks like a dying company :(

This counter was pretty dead until it came alive this week. From TA point of view, it is not liquid enough.

CIMB-GK said it has upgraded its rating for Datapulse Technology to "trading buy" from "neutral" in view of its positive near-term earnings outlook. It also raised its target price for the stock to $0.195 after upping its earnings estimates for the years to July 2007 and 2008 by 7-97% to $7.6m and $5.7m, respectively, to adjust for lower operating expenditure assumptions.

"As the sole CD replicator for Microsoft's retail markets in the Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), Datapulse stands to benefit from the former's launch of a new operating system, Windows Vista, in 2007," CIMB-GK said in a note.

"In the near term, Datapulse should continue to ride year-end festive demand for the X-box 360 game consoles, which should have positive spillover for DVD-ROM game titles," it added.
