looking at the monthly chart.......... DBS have risen frm mar 2009 low to recent jan 2010 high $15.8 on decreasing monthly volume over this 10 mths period.........meaning less buyer want to buy now.... if base on 5 impulse waves(12345) from mar 2008 till jan 2010..... now DBS could be in the midst of wave a of corrective 3 waves(abc)..... well i no expert in this wave theory ,any sifus can help and comment please...thx

hey,.. if they are paying this dividend in mid-May, what about the dividend that should be paid in beginning-June ? I recalled last year : they paid dividends on April 29, and June 4th,... So if the dividend for April 29 is moved to mid-May this year, then do we still get our dividend for June ?
Don't tell me they are paying less dividend this year ?

I believe it might go below $13 again in the face of uncertainties in the turning point of relationships between US and China. Three things have happened which might be the harbinger of bad relationships between US and China. Initially, US was unhappy with allegations of Google hackings blamed on Chinese authorities and a tirade ensue by US against Chinese policies and "human rights records".
Second, the US approved sale of weapons to Taiwan resulting in China withdrawing military "co-operation". This is very serious because a tit for tat might follow in the military hemispheres.
Thirdly, the President's intention to meet up with Da Lama confirms US's uncompromising stance with China in the most sensitive matter. You don't expect your neighbours to smile at you again when you did something to them that they didn't like very much.
So my analysis is that if there are alot of tirades going on, the market will force down DBS to below $13.00 per share.
My 2 cents.

Summary as of now
WEIGHTED AVG PRICE : 14.0455 | LAST DONE PRICE : 14.040 |
SPREAD/PRICE RATIO : 0.0014 | AVG TRADE SIZE : 6.69 |

It's ok. No problem. Me too for the miscomms. Frankly speaking I really like this counter for the long run but am unsure of the optimal entry point.

Just sharing what I've read. The Dubai exposure is resurfacing.

Dubai exposure could weigh on DBS
WRITEDOWNS related to troubled Dubai could have spoilt the party for DBS Group, South-east Asia's biggest bank, in an otherwise strong fourth quarter. 'Total operating income has recovered since the first quarter last year to pre-crisis level and we anticipate it to continue,' said Brandon Ng, an analyst at Philip Capital. 'What can throw a spanner in the works is the allowance required for the Dubai World Finance exposure.' |

13...is highly unlikely. Most of the bad news had been factored in...the shortists are running out of bullets and have to load up for CNY rally...the buy-in are unexpectedly high...seems like people have started to acknowledge the strength of the market....
