China Bearing , which makes bearings for China's industrial and farming sectors, rose after Westcomb Securities recommended investors "buy" the stock. Westcomb set a target price of $0.815.

"We are expecting earnings growth of 65% in the 2006 financial year coming from the full year impact of an additional production line installed in May 2005 and a change in production mix to focus on higher value-added heavy bearings," analyst Angelia Phua said in a research note.

Phua added that China's economic development will drive demand for cars, mechanical and engineering equipment, and machinery, which will in turn boost demand for bearings.

Talks that it could maintain its strong growth and persistent rumours of a major contract win from a Japanese auto maker.

Wow! China Bearing's first day performance is beyond expectation. I believe this is helped by the bull market sentiment. Looks like it is trading above its fair value now. Have sold my allotment. A potential candidate for shorting...... just my view only.
