Share consolidation passed in AGM. Looking on the bright side, with improved share price, Chartered may be considered for inclusion into STI index in near future.
Or returning to ashes...???

share consolidation is a bad thing; after u have consolidated, u have more $ to go down. juz look at companies that do share consolidation.
Stay clear...further the better.
Chartered rose 8% over Nasdaq last night. May break through 0.20 next week. Hopefully TH abstains from voting for share consolidation next Thurs.
Today's Q1 results net loss of 99 million. Q2 to be 50 plus million loss. Q3 may just breakeven and Q4 to be profitable. Chief said aiming for 75% utilization by end of year. ....Wait until Q3 to Q4 for share price to surge....
Better stay clear...
i also hope it will go back to 0.20 plus during the pre-rights period..hope can see huge lots buy up again next week~!

Chartered expects first quarter net loss to be in
the range of $122 million or $0.49 per ADS to $132 million or $0.53 per
ADS. Chartered Semiconductor previously expected losses in the range of
$142 million or $0.57 per ADS to $152 million or $0.61 per ADS. Generally, analyst expected revenue abt $235.03 million for first quarter while the company projected $232-244 million so anything above that, wld means good news (still very much depending on market sentiments). Lets hope all bros and sis onboard the same boat can win some pocket money tomorrow..
i m keeping my fingers and toes crossed..somehow all results posted by the other companies have been good..so lets hope for the best..

gut feel is to keep a lookout for tomorrow...likely to have actions prior to 1st quarter result
God suggestion. Does anyone know how much a black box cost? How much is needed to maintain the black box functionality? Getting the consumers to absorb all these? CSM need to relook on their factsheet and come out with something which is more strategic. At least, generate some dividend for genuine investors.
why can't the A team invent something in Singapore itself that requires a lot of computer chips - how about a mandatory black box for Singapore cars like the black box in aeroplanes - so that we can all claim insurance without fear, without delay, without witnesses ... how about that ??
Handon tell us la, when going to break S$ 0.20 ? Any confidence , percentage ??? hehe
