CEI Contract Manufacturing

CEI Contract Manufacturing (CEI SP, $0.125, NOT RATED) – CEI is an early spin-off of Singapore Technologies, which accounts for the fact that Temasek Holdings still has an 18% stake. But even with such an illustrious stakeholder, CEI seems content to stay small (with earnings of only $6m at the peak and market cap of only ~$43m vs $30m when it first listed in 2000), which is surprising, considering that several key employee-shareholders own another 18% as well.

I also sold some at 0.235 still waiting to sell more. But was wondering why the sudden interest. Rotational play or what?

I just check CEI price over last few years. I have different opinion. I think it seems to belong to 'dividend counter' type of stock.

see below on price comparing STI,

Perhaps there is other dividend counters which offer good dividend yet with reasonable price appreciation over few years.

CEI for long term investment, true div payout is good, definitely better than putting in the bank, you can call it "evergreen" stock always stays at about  the same price, not much interest in the market. Management not so pro active. Email the investment officer nothing heard from him, we he think small fry does not warrant his attention. Held the last meeting somewhere in a hotel down town on a week day at 0830am, who is going to attend down town at 0830?? It shows their sincerityto the share holders who maybe interested to find out about their future plans. Not optismistic, main business in the US. With the US dollar droping I can almost be certain on the lose due to foreign exchange. Aaarrrr still vested, but getting tired

Here is another value play.

CEI has consistent ROE at least 20% over the past two years. Rare kind in the market. Stock is currently under accumulation, and will be cornered soon. No. of shareholders over the past 2 years decreased slightly, a possible sign of BBs buying from retail.

Do keep a lookout.

Not vested at the moment.
