Netresearch just release "top ideas" on this counter. Unfortunately, my account is expired. It seems it's good news.

It was once mentioned, it dream to hit sales turnover a billion dollar, then again along the way, well...thk Nostradamus, if oni Beyonics boss look to GES as a model to chuck out huge volume, bot over a small listed sgx listed company, then turn into POS making factory, then hohh...make $$$ liao. Like GES a willing seller to Ventur..for $1.25cts

4Q ended Jul 06 net profit fell 7% yoy to $7.2m. If not for $1.33m bad debts written back, net profit would have declined 24% yoy. The results were in line with expectations. The weaker performance reflects Panasonic (50% of sales) pulling manufcaturing in-house to fill their spare capacity, Seagate moving the PCBA business to Calcomp (Thailand), Flextronics (China) and Kaifa (China), the volatile and rising aluminium prices as well as higher SG&A expenses arising from capacity expansion in China, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Looking ahead, while the HDD segment is expected to grow (from 1m units to 1.6m units) underpinned by Seagate's higher volumes (organic as well as from Maxtor), pricing is expected to come under pressure as new competitors such as Brilliant and JCY (Malaysia) come into the picture. Rxisting players such as MMI and Eng Tech (in Malaysia) are alos expanding ca[acity to try to gain market share. The contract manufacturing division will continue to face challenging times with the loss of Seagate PCBA business, Panasonic pullinh more production in-house as well as battery pack (Dell) problems.

New customers such as Indigo Vision, Fisher and Paykel, Japan MNC (2.5" HDD), wireless comm (BGAN terminal) are not expected to contribute much in the new year.

The volatility of raw material prices and exchange rates may continue to pose challenges for them.

As a result of the above challenges, net profit is expected to be < 10% to $28m this year. This translates to a forward PE of 6.5x, which is about in line with its peers MMI and Seksun.

Hold. Prefer Seksun as it offers a higher growth rate of 100% this year and is trading at similar valuation.

CIMB has slashed its target price to $0.30, saying the company's earnings are likely to be hit by falling orders from customers like Seagate and Panasonic.

"We have cut our year to July 2006 through July 2008 earnings forecasts for Beyonics by 12-24% after lowering sales and gross margin assumptions," CIMB said in a note to clients.

"Contract manufacturing sales are suffering from Seagate's shift of orders to a competitor and lower orders from Panasonic. Precision engineering margins are hit by higher material cost," the brokerage said. "Although valuations remain undemanding after our forecast revisions, we see few near-term catalysts for the stock."

Hi derekchong,

You should never trade a stock based ONLY on whether its 52 week high or low. Check out other TA indicators or FA ones (if you're into FA) to double confirm the trend first.

The 52 week high or low indication is useful.. but its only one clue to the whole puzzle.

Jessie & Scotty, Thanks for the information.

Derekchong, why do you want to buy at high? buy high sell low? unless we are sure that it will go higher.

Hi Solomoster,

You are able to get the information from "Shares Investment" book which is issued every 2 weeks. You can get it from 7-eleven stores at $6 per copy. There is a section on stocks hitting 52 weeks high, 52 weeks low etc.
