Congrats to all patience pay off at $0.35 cents. not the best performaning stock. But decent return by percentage terms.. About time to unload half to lock in gain and keep the rest of the shares as sovenior.. Cheers..

Better than some blue chip counter 20% to 30% return..

Hope my midas will return the same amount also... Continue to buy up...

2011 watch out for interest rate hike in asia... Inflation knocking at the corner might take away some shine...

Adampak’s 2Q2009 net profit grows 132.2% qoq to US$1.4 million

• Hard Disk Drive grew 45.9% qoq and 22.8% yoy
• Gross margin up qoq and yoy to 29.8%
• Net margin up qoq and yoy to 11.0%
• Board recommends interim dividend of 0.75 Singapore cents

Singapore, 14 August 2009 – Adampak Limited, (“Adampak” or the “Group”), a
manufacturer of high-performance labels, seals and other precision die-cut components, has
reported a quarter on quarter (qoq) growth for its financial results for the three months ended
30 June 2009 (2Q2009).

The Group’s revenue increased 36.6% qoq from US$9.7 million to US$13.2 million. The
growth was mainly led by the growth in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) sector, which contributed
59.2% of the Group’s total revenue. The HDD sector grew 45.9% qoq and 22.8% yoy to
US$7.8 million. With other business segments growing qoq, the Group’s gross profit rose by
56.9% qoq to US$3.9 million due to lower overheads and higher operating efficiency.
Expenses for the quarter were kept in check with both distribution & selling expenses and
administrative expenses decreasing by 16.7% qoq to US$0.8 million and US$1.1 million

“We are pleased with this quarter’s results, particularly our sales to the HDD
sector, which grew faster than the overall industry growth.
With the higher sales volume, we were able to achieve economies of scale and
better margins. As such, the Board of Directors has recommended an interim
dividend of 0.75 Singapore Cents.”

Yup... many counters are potentially 'explosive' at this stage of the market
eg.
a stock like Best World is also getting more heavy buyers starting to come into the queues...  Smiley

CIMB expect the S$ to appreciate from $1.44/US$ in 2007 to S$1.41 in 2008. A stronger S$ would increase Adampak?s operating costs such as manpower and utilities, which are denominated in the local currency, although the group has a natural hedge from material costs denominated in US$, which form about 70% of its total costs.

Management indicated in Jul that it had submitted RFID baggage tag samples to the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. It is awaiting McCarran?s decision and believes that a decision could be made in 1H08, instead of end-FY07. The initial order is estimated at 13m tags. CIMB have reduced their revenue estimates for RFID on the back of slower-than-expected contributions and risks that Adampak may not be awarded the contract, or that its bidding partner may not award the entire contract to Adampak.

CIMB have downgraded Adampak to Neutral from Outperform; reducing target price to $0.42 from $0.79, based on the peer average of 6x CY09 P/E. They have also cut their earnings estimates for FY08-09 by 25% in view of slower earnings contributions from its RFID business as well as higher operating costs expected.
