Hello Hikitty... :)
I am treating this one as a technical beauty of a darling now!... :)
If I consider it to be a potential gradual"cheonger", I would get in and wait. But while waiting, I will not sing praises for the stock if it doesn't move.
No one can time or 'predict' the market.
They call it "sharks fin" elswhere.. :)
(Sharksfin Note: I am personally alarmed by the schools of poor finless sharks I see struggling at the bottom of the oceon whenever I eat sharks fin).
hehe..hi Ipunter..
I honestly think this counter has ALOT of potential..
They keep winning contracts after contracts..and they r quite a brand name in Europe now..
They are even handling the dutch stock exchange servers now..Thats how highly regarded they r..
TA wise I not so good la..but I do agree with u..chart looks beautiful..current time is probably the time the Big Boys accumulate before the mighty push up up and beyond..
Novocaine...
Technically speaking (from the charts), it is a highly promising picture... :)
Just that the boys are 'giving a chance' for the frivolous players to dump more of it out of impatience.
Personally, I will bet that this one is a potential gradual "cheonger" especially if it trades higher than yesterday's high on Friday and then Monday ...
Just a personal opinion... Good luck! :)
DEUTSCHE BÖRSE AND GLOBAL VOICE CONCLUDE AGREEMENT ON PROVISION OF
DARK FIBER CONNECTIONS
DEUTSCHE BÖRSE REDUCES LATENCY TIME AND FURTHER INCREASES NETWORK
CAPACITY
Singapore, 30 May 2007 ? Global Voice Group, (SGX: H23.SI), owner and operator of
one of Europe?s highest capacity fiber networks and provider of mission critical
communications infrastructure and services, today announced it concluded an
agreement with Deutsche Börse (Frankfurt Stock Exchange) for the deployment of
private fiber networks in Europe.
Deutsche Börse Systems expands its communications network, which links clients
across the globe to the electronic trading, clearing and settlement systems with a
new connection technology. From the end of May, dark fiber connections will be
used between clients and Deutsche Börse access points. Dark fiber connections are
fiber-optic connections used exclusively and offering virtually unlimited bandwidth
which will be made available to Deutsche Börse Systems at a large number of client
locations in Frankfurt, London, Paris and Amsterdam by provider Global Voice.
The ever-increasing volume of data in electronic stock exchange trading is
prompting higher demands with respect to bandwidth and the minimum possible
latency. Deutsche Börse Systems quadrupled the bandwidth of the Eurex and Xetra
trading systems in December 2006 and introduced the optional 2Mbit/s and 1
Gigabit/s connection types for Xetra in April. Dark fiber will allow such upgrades to
be implemented much faster in future.
?Our cooperation with Global Voice puts us in a position to realize changes
requested by our clients within a very short time span. This represents a further step in
the constant optimization of the latency and efficiency of our infrastructure,? said
Michael Kuhn, CIO of Deutsche Börse.
?We are delighted to have been selected by Deutsche Börse for this exciting project
which will see Deutsche Börse and euNetworks connecting and rolling out services
to numerous financial institutions on dedicated fiber networks. Global Voice, as the
owner and operator of one of Europe?s highest capacity networks, was uniquely
positioned to provide the density of fiber required, enabling the Deutsche Börse and
the financial services sector with the redundancy, security and resilience
demanded?, said Noel Meaney, Chief Executive Officer, Global Voice Group.

CIMB re-initiating BUY with target price of S$0.28.
==============================================
GLOBAL VOICE, cimb re-initiating BUY with target price $0.28
- The Viatel deal is finally completed, due diligence makes deal more
favourable. The strategically important deal took longer-than-expected
to complete but was finally sealed last week. Our analysis of the revised
terms suggests that Global Voice (GV) has done a good job haggling the
price down and ring-fencing parts of the assets that it does not need.
- Management narrates a clear focus to develop the business from here
onwards. With Viatel in the bag, management is clear that its single
aim from here, is to drive sales. While the combined infrastructure eases
the path for the sales team to penetrate new customers, plans to re-brand the product offering and re-align the sales team lends optimism that sales
momentum will accelerate in early 2007.
- Raise earnings to account for asset sales in Viatel deal, but
adjustments have no impact on DCF valuations. Accounting intricacies necessitate an adjustment of earnings forecasts to take into account the value of the five pair strands of metropolitan fibre given to Viatel in the deal. This however, has no impact on our existing DCF valuations as the exchange is non-cash in nature.
- Maintain DCF-based target price of S$0.28, resume coverage with
Outperform rating. We draw inferences to events in the US and suggest
that the takeover of GV is an eventuality that becomes ever more likely, as the company climbs up the profit ladder. Such an event would crystallise GV's asset based value.
Excerpt from report..
Focusing back on growing business, unlikely to have other deals in the short-term.
Management indicates that they are focusing all their efforts back onto the business,
now that Viatel is in the bag. There is rebranding exercise scheduled for 17th July and
a revamp of the current website in the near future. After the re-launch, GV?s service
offerings will be sold under a new brand name, EU Networks. This rebranding
exercise is necessary because Global Voice was wrongly perceived to be a VOIP
player in the past. Management seeks to re-educate the market and build recognition
of EU networks as an infrastructure provider in the process. We find the recent
operational focus encouraging.
Plus Viatel acquisition completed and out of managements mind..they can concentrate on driving sales and revenues now..also potential takeover bid according to CIMB-GK..:)
