Matthew, there are some forumers here who are emotional & paraniods n yet want to trade, wat to do, when u see such postings, either just ignore their senseless postngs or if really cannot tahen, then have to censor them lor &
These are the people bound to lost money as they lack mental calmness & discipline & to take a look at the charts to see whether it is "mkt crash" or just a normal correction just as another forumer screaming hysterically "tumbling...tumbling...tumbling..." in another thread when the counter just drop merely 0.005 cts, yet contrarily, when it rises the next day by 0.01 cts, his hand froze, mouth was either gagged or dumbfounded & too shocked, thinking tat alemak, "flying... flying...flying shoes..."

From DBSV:
S-shares should rise after China’s PMI for May came in at 53.1
versus 53.5 in April, marking this the 3
that the PMI stayed above 50. Although the reading showed a
slight dip versus April, the figure was still better-than-expected
as some economists had earlier predicted the PMI dipping close
to 50 or even below. S-chips top the list of DBS Research’s Buy
recommendations with more than 10% upside to target price.
These are China Sports (TP: $0.29), Raffles Education (TP:
$0.78), Pacific Andes (TP: $0.57), China Hongxing (TP: $0.26)
and Epure (TP: $0.64). rd consecutive month

Market crashed
OAO Gazprom, Russia’s biggest publicly traded company, OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel and OAO Sberbank lost more than 4 percent. The 30-stock Micex Index fell 7.5 percent to 1,109.21 at 6:41 p.m. in Moscow. The dollar-denominated MSCI Russia Index, which climbed 105 percent through yesterday since the end of February, sank 4.6 percent.
Citigroup slashed its recommendation on Russia to “underweight” from “overweight,” telling clients to “avoid the high-flying commodity sectors” including steel and oil, as well as steering clear of banks, according to a research report. Moscow-based Troika Dialog said today investors are buying put options to protect against declines in stocks.
“Having risen more off its lows than any other emerging market, Russia no longer looks nearly as undervalued as it did a few months ago,” Andrew Howell, a New York-based Citigroup strategist, wrote in the report dated June 2. “Significant macro challenges remain.” |

Also note tat the sharp spiked up from 12.5 (27/4) to 21 (8/5) was on increasing volume which is a healthy sign while the correction going on now is on decreasing volume, not on increasing volume, again another healthy sign.

I think it is quite natural for CHHX to have longer consolidation as it had spiked up from 12.5 (27/4) to 21 (8/5) within 8 trading days.

CSFB tgt price is 2.60 but I just take note & do not follow blindly as they may b right or wrong. I still trade base on my chart analysis n of course analysis may differ from person to person.

valuation of coy does not take the nav...if like that than SPH is not worth 3..and Keppel T&T..is is not 1.60..only nav 0.5..i dont know how expert value a coy share, but definitely do take future earning into consideration...and many factors as well...
my fund manager friend value this one at 2.5 for now...really..but before that i will join you guy here..

Wow!!! one moment u scared may drop to 0.80 n now wondering will go to $5.00.
As usual, my advice is always, in trading, put emotions aside, trade base on wat the charts tell u, set cut-loss point & let profits ride. A lot of people let emotions rule their mind n it can be disastrous.
It is human nature, not easy to curb emotions ( we just had one forumer who few days ago, makes me rotflol, screaming "tumbling...tumbling...tumbling" when the tat particular stock just correct merely 0.005 cts but now curbed his/her emotions when the next day, the price went up more than tat 0.005 cts) , need self-discipline & when in doubt, look back at the chart & dun pre-empt the chart & dun let emotions dictate your trading actions, let the charts do the confirmation & act on wat it tells u. |

I must6 admit that this bugger is real racer. Gone up more than $1.00 recently only and still going strong. Can it go to $5.00? Note that the more than 100% gain from May when it was hovering somewhere below 80 cents. Fantastic horse. Cheers. |

I think it is not fair to use one stroke of the brush n paint all analyst black.
There are good apples as well as rotten apples, just tat u need to track the credibility & track record of tat analyst, out of how many calls is he/she correct n wrong (of course, to be fair to him/her, we must accept tat some calls may be wrong as we can't expect all calls to be correct) & decide whether to trust his/her tgt price. More credence if it is supported by chart analysis rather than a figure plucked from nowhere.

Let me tell u a story..when i 1st started buying stocks..i was totally into anal-yst..and they shouted for a strong BUY for singtel with TP 4.20 and so i bought at 3.68..it dropped immediately after tat..all the way down to 1.9+ before it rose back to 3 now..and im still at a big loss..u are already considered lucky..anyway nv listen to analyst..NEVER
doraemon ( Date: 01-Jun-2009 22:09) Posted:
dear forummers, can anyone advise or comment on why did singtel drop so much today, after briefly breaking its previous high of $3.07? the drop from today's high of $3.08 to $2.92 and closing at $2.93 is an astonishing $0.15 fall in one day.
from the charts, it was still looking gd till yesterday, at least this was what i thought. sigh, i was hoping that after breaking $3.07 it will move higher to reach $3.18, target price of some anal-lyst |

In fact, I already wanted to put this issue to rest but since u insist on re-visiting this issue, I had no choice but to reply as wat MM Lee once mentioned, something like "If I think something is not right, even if I m dead, I will still jump out of my coffin just to put it right"

Oooops, let me re-phrase:
By the way, today, CHHX went up 0.01, why are u instead refraining from emotionally screaming euphorically, "flying...flying...flying...".
Aren't u contradicting yourself, emotionally screaming "tumbling...tumbling...tumbling" when it dip merely 0.005 but now mouth gagged & not emotionally screaming euphorically "flying...flying...flying..." when it rise more than 0.005.

If tomoro CHHX were to shootup, r u instead going to again emotionally going to scream euphorically, "flying...flying...flying...".
If screaming hysterically "tumbling... tumbling...tumbling..." when a stock dipped merely 0.005 cts is not emotional, than I think u make yourself a laughing stock to fellow forumers & u should publish a trading physcology book contrary to wat the term "emotional" is widely recognised in the trading community.
I simply can't bame u since u dun even know wat is emotional in the context pf trading, think either u r ignorant, never read any books on trading physcology or think u are smart aleck enuf, no need to read up trading physcology. |

just to re-iterate, my "outcry" (if that's what richtan wants to put it) was certainly not emotional, neither does it arise from greed/fear/ulterior motives. i stand by what i think and i have not apologised for my personal opinion. my statement was purely an appreciation of someone who is kind enough to provide an alternate point of view that different from from mine.
