i think im much worse than ur YZJ..singtel is already one of the less jialat case..i bought penny stocks too last time..sinopipe analyst call strong buy TP 0.65. i bought at 0.45. Dropped all the way to 0.045 before it rose to ard 0.13 now..can u imagine it actually dropped to 1/10 of my price with a strong buy call.. can have alot of different analyst from different famous big banks calling buy but it dropped all the way..no way to recover back even with the current rally..and i'm still holding on without cutting loss.. anyway, i dun follow analyst now..do my own research and judgement better..but now i v kiasi already..got win win abit sell, drop also cut loss fast..play safe..turns out to be more effective than following analyst call.. well i can only say school fees are expensive..really gotta go thru' the experience of losing before can really step into the stock mkt business..

i truely believe that one has to lose b4 he really understand how to earn. It will also let them experience the up and down so in future they are able to handle situation better. My 1st trade also buy bec of analyst report. YZJ buy call tp 2.9. den i buy at 2.19, after that drop till 1.3..bo bian den avg dw, until i cannot take it cut lost.

I think it is not fair to use one stroke of the brush n paint all analyst black. There are good apples as well as rotten apples, just tat u need to track the credibility & track record of tat analyst, out of how many calls is he/she correct n wrong (of course, to be fair to him/her, we must accept tat some calls may be wrong as we can't expect all calls to be correct) & decide whether to trust his/her tgt price. More credence if it is supported by chart analysis rather than a figure plucked from nowhere.

Well, it all depends on who an analyst is working for... If he is working for someone who needs to unload a lot of the shares, then he will of course have to call for a buy. This is called self-interest, which is the only 'principle' that exists in the financial world... |

yeah totally think that the anal-lysis are mostly skewed to their own imaginations/personal agendas. however having said that some reports does seem to have certain influences on prices. for me mostly i try to look at charts and make references to the latest reports to determine my exit points. singtel has truly disappointed me today. well i think there is still a fair chance of it moving to $3 - $3.05 range moro and hopefully short term uptrend can be sustained. | ||||

dear forummers, can anyone advise or comment on why did singtel drop so much today, after briefly breaking its previous high of $3.07? the drop from today's high of $3.08 to $2.92 and closing at $2.93 is an astonishing $0.15 fall in one day. from the charts, it was still looking gd till yesterday, at least this was what i thought. sigh, i was hoping that after breaking $3.07 it will move higher to reach $3.18, target price of some anal-lyst |
