Reminder to newbies

Hi Fellow forumers.

I had mentioned tat I had decided to quit posting till those forumers tat brazenly instigate buy/sell calls, posts rumours, half-truths, emotional posts tat incite greed and fear are banned by admin.

My stand still holds but just excuse me for once, to reappear to give support to el7888 for taking the initiative to petition admin to remove such pests for the betterment of the forum and not degrade the forum and to safeguard newbies and gullible forumers from falling prey to such undignified postings.

el7888, include me in the petition.

Bye for now till such pests are removed and totally banned, including their ip address and hope they dun reappear using another nick, a leopard can never remove its stripes.

I will still quit if they reappear should I resume once they are banned.

I will definitely resume my postings and sharing once such pests are removed forever.

I never get ready to exit when entering a new building, though I always have exit plan whenever I enter a position. But it is a good suggestion to extend exit plans in all dealings.  

 

Always remember trust no one but only yourself. If you enter a new building or a place always look and remember the exit so that you can save yourself during an emergency.Running a business and investing is the same.

Today again I saw his post: He actually sold off at 0.96, BUT I was called to buy at 0.97 b4 market opened... Why Did he do that? NOW I really regret. BUT If I blow his cover, I dunno what will happen. I also dunno what to do with Oculus. If sell, my savings all down by almost half. I also suspect he is actually a typical Hit-&-Run guy & not a sincere friend. With his earnings by just one SHORT deal he could make more than $200K. AND after getting me into this he still posted in my thread to console me... Wa LAN. I think he can easily underwrite my losses... BTW, my wife & kids returned last night bcoz my sons needs to go to school today. She just asked me to get back our savings. BUT how? I am a person with little savings. Actually they should not charge us broker fee.

I think in future these broker firms should get their work computerized. N we liase with computers better, at least maybe the computer

can provide us some statistic to analyse. Cut cost, just get some IT guys to Maintenance the system also.....

 

Not all remisiers are wise enough to give advice, be it FA or TA. If they are not sure, how to give advice??

 

I believe in every market bear or bull, there is opportunity to make sound $$$.

One's broker is the best person to give advice. If all stop giving calls then they sit around to slap mosquitoes? And becuz, they are all so kiasi, no wonder the market is so quiet.

Of cuz, if one is a prudent investor, he/she should make a judgement call also.

Hi Bintan, who is that 'Broker'??  Is broker supposed to give tips?  I have never received any tips from my broker and i guess he is a responsible type who will not anyhow give tips.

This 'Broker' must be singnalled out so as to warn those who wish to open a/c under him. 

 

My advice, do not speculate nor trade but invest!

bintang, sympathize with the subject person in your post. he/she got sand bagged.

there is really no free lunch. in jungle must learn the rule of the jungle. go read some good book (people experience) like one up on wall streets.

practise with money you can spare only or do dry run on paper first. apply patient. see more, buy less.

if not like some smart alex they put money in cpf no take out got 4 % better then loosing coffin money.

(not no risk ok. inflation will still eat into it)

 

 

 

 

 

As far as I know, manipulation is not the trade mark for penny counter only! Most of the time even blue chip counter is manipulated too by institution or hedge funds!

I read somewhere that this person supposed to get married, but ended up, buying i think 'oculus' share  with promises of target price and got stuck and no $$$ to get married. I think ended up divorced.

 

 

 

 

I remember Tony Tan, GIC say that during a bull market, everybody (fund manager) felt like a genius, it is only during a bear market, that differentiate a truly good fund manager/ investor. If u notice, Singapore leaders have been coming out with these statement quite frequently. Just take note......

Newbies shd know or taught to know that share investment is as risky as putting your money in a casino.  Neber say its safe.

Some need to release...so get someone to take over...be careful...especially when the trading volume is low...just 2 million dollars can manipulate a penny counter...SGX cant do anything about it...can only do queries...in the end...retail investors kena trapped...retail investors complain...cry...vulgar related...anything retail investors want to do just do...but...one thing retail investors cannot do......cannot stop the manipulator from buying a new S Class.

 

 

Too sweeping, but I have all the experiences with untrustworthy folks.  I took a holistic approach I might be wrong, so be cautious with your money much as your broker wants to be cautious with you.

I only can give one advice, the true gurus do not have time to surf and post in forums like this and CNA and do not give free advice personally to someone for nothing.

 I can tell you buy Sunshine, Target price :$0.06 cents but do you believe? If you do buy it , I have just vested everything in. Once Q2 report out will up till roof

 

Poor thing! I really feel for the victim. Unfortunately, this scenario is not uncommon. Thanks for the 'reminder'!
