beta is a statistical means of 'measuring how a stock price variation over historical time when compare to that of the INDEX variation. A relative measurement. High beta, much more than one, means this share is always moving more than the index. Low beta is opposite example of high beta shares in STI components and some others, says beta of 1.6 to 2.0 cosco, NOL, kepland. example of low beta, less than 1. SPH, ST Engg, comfort, Starhub. if you r using DBSV u can simply read beta from their datebase
