target price for Capitaland reach 3.80. :) see previous post for set up. Profit 10cents for swing trade. Today,saw stamford tyres did a triangle breakout. This is a longer term trade. The time it take to form the triangle pattern will be equal to the time trade price is reach based on chart pattern analysis read here for more details. extraceted from blog : "traditional technical analysis on chart pattern, you are able to project 2 things from triangles pattern. 1)projected price target 2)time to reach projected price target so how does one calculate the project price target for a triangle breakout? First look the largest base of the triangle , calculate the difference between the highest price and lowest of the base . Next add the amount to the point where the triangle broke out. Example of Stamford Tyres: Lowest price of the triangle is 0.26 Highest price of the triangle is 0.335 The difference is 0.075 Using this difference and added it to the point where the triangle breakout. Point where triangle broken out 0.325 Projected price target will be 0.325 + 0.075 = 0.40 You can read more on symmetrical triangle here Incidentially, this is also the next major resistance of stamford tyres. I have posted my price target of stamford tyres on the 8th Nov. The price 40 cents!!! coincidence? maybe not :) How about the time ? what is the projected time for the price target to be reached. The beginning of the chart pattern is 16/9/2010 , so it was 63 days ago. Using 63 days to add to today date will give you 19-20 Jan 2011. Swing Trade: 10ma , 20ma ,40 ma sloping down indicate longer term tide. CCI ,representing the short term wave up goes to overbought. Overall , view or short is heading down. Stop loss at previous day high.Trigger was yesterday at 3.91 Immediate Support is about 3.80.
