Talent people in Temasek do things different from common people.. Buy High Sell Low.. So that others can make some money.... And get bonus for performing better than stock indices.. Might as well just buy ETF.. No need to pay so many talented people and incurred high expenses.. Of course we cannot just expect them to beat the stock indices.. The bottom line is to make MONEY.. In good times they pay astronomical bonuses such as $20+ million to Capitaland CEO and MM says the Temasik CEO is the best. When they become the number 1 loser in Asia because MM believes in the American Investment bankers, they say the investment is for long term. Even those rejected by Kookmin bank he wants to buy. Now exit in a few months and lose billions what is MM going to say? What long term? | ||||

judging by the chart of BAC... the jump in vol for transactions at 7 to 9.5.... my boss think most part done at this range... another could be 10 to 13.... my boss said one hor.... hehe....  |

The fear now is that the banks are selling their assets to raise capital. Once all the crown jewels are sold, it would cripple future income and I dun think the share price will return to the levels seen in the past.

maybe boa rise from $2+ to $14, so they tot quickly unload if not suay suay drop den lugi even more. citi from $1 to $4, but they already lost to much due to p share convert normal share, offload will lost like hell..
I think US bank nw more stablise liao, after rally will fall ma, scareli t holding already standby billions to buy low sell high.. become BIG BB

Even the stupidest singaporean like me know we have to invest in emerging market like 2 years ago and now you just stepped in , people are very willing to gain profit at our expense when we buy from them . Developed countries are still the driving force and why should we cut lost to buy stake on developing . If the loss is 20% , it is ok . Fxxking 70% , stupid .... I am okay with T holding if they say they have new investment in MAR , MOON or even SUN .. cos they are really new area not tapped at all , China and emerging markets are no longers virgin lands .. Dont they know that ? next step , sell all the kep corp , uob, singtel , SP and everytik to china investment corp ... and then let them manipulate our market. Wont be suprise man .. WAKE UP !! Need us to set alarm ? |

They been paid soo..fat that they are totally in confusion what is a traders and what is an investors...Where in this world where our so called very top talented, top professional people's, and where investor cut lost by selling down all the way from US$14 dollar plus plus to US$2.50, dammed bloody mindless no cow brain of the worst kind and giving all sort of reason.

The summary of this episode is like this: 1. Buy high and think it will be higher when everyone run. 2. When it crashes, we said we are long term investor. 3. When ML got swallow by BoA, we wait and see. Do nothing. 4. When BoA got into trouble and more trouble. We panic 5. Lost rational mind, we start to sell. 6. After all sold, feel relieve. But market moves up. 7. Announced our clearance and cutting loss at up to 90% of investment. People angry. 8. Now we strategize differently. But we need not explain to you. Long Term to Cut Loss asap and new strategy. Is there any consistency in the investment strategy. Assume 4.6b can be used to throw into our economy, it would make lots of miracle to our GDP. | ||||

But they sold BOA within a short space of time. I dun see why they can't sell Citi shares then. I am sure the US Gov. will make exceptions. They have made several exceptions already so wat's another one.

I think they got wind that if any of the 'too big to fail' banks were to be nationalized at some point, that bank would be BOA. I have a funny suspicion they are aware of the 'actual' stress level BOA can withstand and it does not look good. As far as the timing of the sale goes, they are off the mark. Then again these are desperate times and it calls for desperate measures. No excuses for GIC or Temasek, they 'bombed' big time.

Using blind math..... At US$11.42 BAC is MC is 73.12B USD So the free float is 6.38B shares. And 3.8% will be about 243M shares. If they sell at 7USD a piece......they get USD 1.7B only..... If 4B investment, the break even is USD16.50.....sigh..... |

Filtering of news again , No detailed news from major paper and CNA in the afternoon ? Wait for the right statement from the top ? Temasek movement is a chess move slower than most of the competitors, wonder is there a lagging in their computer system ? Maybe BOA is going to nationalise or maybe the entire US market is crashing soon ? Maybe they are forced to sell their shares, Uncle SAM is the biggest say , little "Sin"ful boy has to save SITI binte ameriKa , the one who never sleeps , we have to save.
