China Animal Healthcare posted a 45.4% drop in net profit to RMB26.5 million ($5.1 million) in the 4Q ending Dec 31 due mainly to several one-off expenses such as professional fees in connection with the group’s listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong which amounted to RMB42.6 million and the non-cash fair value charge of RMB19.2 million for the 13 million new shares issued to employees under its performance share scheme. The group recorded an aggregate turnover of RMB176.2 million in 4Q2010, representing a 32.9% increase over 4Q2009. For the full year ended 31 December 2010 (FY2010), group revenue increased 34.7% y-o-y to RMB590.5 million, while net profit was lower by 24.2% at RMB119.7 million. /theedge/ |

China Animal Healthcare Feb 9 close: $0.36 DBS GROUP RESEARCH, Feb 9
VACCINES boost in 2011: 2011 should be an exciting year for China Animal Healthcare (CAL) with projected 54 per cent topline growth driven by contributions from Foot-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Porcine Reproductive & Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) vaccines. The group has obtained regulatory approvals and the product code for its FMD vaccine and will be participating in the upcoming February tender. More clarity should come from its Q1 2011 results in May, thus providing further catalyst to the counter if sales proceed well. Sales of its PRRS ('blue ear') vaccines have started and are set to gain momentum. Excluding non-recurring items in FY2010F, profit to grow by 24 per cent. We have updated our operating model and trimmed our FY2010F/2011F forecasts by -38 per cent/ -11 per cent. The large cut in our FY2010F forecast arises mainly from non-recurring costs, including non-cash charge for new shares issued to employees, pre-operating expenses from its Inner Mongolia plant and HK dual listing expenses. Excluding the above, we estimate FY2010F net profit to post 24 per cent y-o-y growth on the back of a 35 per cent y-o-y increase in revenue. CAL is likely to announce its 4Q2010 results on Feb 18 when we are expecting a final dividend payout of 30 per cent, equating to a yield of about 1.2 per cent. Maintain 'buy', TP adjusted to $0.45. We remain positive on the counter with the sharp anticipated dip in FY2010 earnings (due to non-recurring items) largely discounted. With healthy growth projected for FY2011F/2012F, the stock trades at an unjustifiable prospective PE and EV/Ebitda multiple of about 11.7x and 5.4x on FY2011F, a fraction of that of its Chinese peers at about 24x and 20x respectively. Our TP is adjusted to $0.45 as we peg it to 13x on blended FY2011F/2012F earnings (from FY2011F previously), and remove the potential share dilution as conversion of the convertible bonds will only make sense if share price reaches $0.55 BUY |

pump it up ! pump it up ! B4 is too late..... There has been calling for a buy by master....seem it did not fly off the shelf like Chinagaoxian. it went dual listing and crashed right down over the following three days from a high of 0.425.

Alex is making known on his blog on his analysis. We may choose to follow his blog and get into the market or not on our own choice. I am also caught up on this one. My only guess is that the big boys played it down since the technical indicators are there like when it went dual listing and crashed right down over the following three days from a high of 0.425. | ||||
