loyfam88, i did not read the announcement earlier before posting.. as you asked about tax rate I went into SGX website to read Chip Eng Seng's report and copy out the dividend and attached as below in BOLD the dividends for both were Tax exempt , thus for 10000 shares you expect to get $175 nett. Hope this helps. Dividend Amount per Share (in cents) First & Final 0.75 cent per ordinary share Tax exempt (one-tier tax) 1.00 cent per ordinary share Tax exempt (one-tier tax) |

Any idea what is the tax rate applied? 18%? |

yes shareholder holding upto Ex-date will get both dividend. yes, 0.0075 x 10,000= $75. however you need to remember also your net dividend is equal to Dividend Less TAX. |

Can someone pls shed light on how to compute dividend. Eg in CES, they have first & final and special dividend, does that mean shareholder is entitled to both? if it is 0.75cent per share. How does that work out to be if I hold 10 lots? S$75? |
