Mermaid would go down to 74 cents if it breaks the support at 80 cents , then may be we could see the rebounce from there .

The technical rebound or rather short covering may not last for long , today mermaid rebounded to 86.5 cents , n was stopped by the 55MA .

ADX is already heading down at 29 n directional movement index is negatively placed .

Hi sharebear,

if you don't intend to apply for excess rights of 500 shares, you can sell your 500 shares using the brokerage firm POEMS. That's what I do. Don't know if there are other ways of selling.

Hi aircraft, really appreciate your help and other friendly people here! What I mean to ask is, let's say after this whole process, if I don't apply for excess rights or do any trading... let's say I am finally left with 14,500. How then can I sell these 14,500 lots let's say in 2010 (hopefully by then the price would have rocketed up!) since I understand that the trading platforms would reject "odd" lots that are not in 1,000s?

Hi sharebear,

9th Nov is the last day you can trade your Rights. Your purchased rights will be added to your mermaid shares on 23 November 2009.

For the odd lots, you can apply for excess rights to round them to 1000 shares. e.g apply 500 shares of excess. If not, you can trade odd lots using POEMS. Hope I helped.

Could someone help explain what happens after the period of trading of rights? Let's say I purchase all my rights, are the lots then added up to my total holding of Mermaid shares? Does it matter if I have "odd" number of lots? e.g. If I began with 10,000 lots and was awarded 4,500 lots, after the trading of rights period, does it mean I will own 14,500 "normal" Mermaid lots? Will I be able to trade the "odd" lots?

Sorry I'm new to this and it's hard to find info on this anywhere!

Hmm.. if we are confident that mermaid is worth investing, we shld buy the rights now right ? 0.165(the price of the rights) + 0.64 (to subscribe the rights) = $0.805 looks cheap.

Hi Bon 3260 , According to the chart , mermaid could only go up to 94 cents if DJ could close at even few hundred points positively . Do u know that many people are out there waiting for loss -cutting , very few people think now is low enough to buy share . So is the situation clear now ?

Ic. but y not keep all right inclued the odd lot (750) then you sell certain lot or unit the mother share to get straight gain now. later use yr right to apply for excess , I guess tis way work better..

Mermaid R - Lot size is 1000

Mermaid R450 - Lot size is 450 (for those with odd lots so that can make it to 1000 shares)
