Sometime in Oct 09 it was $1.88. I looked hard at this but I missed the train also. I also stuck somewhere...can only look at it climbed. After I bought then it stayed flat! Really pek chek..now can only hold.

During 10-Nov-2009, StraitsAsia during was @ 1.95. All my bullets were kena stuck & left those expired @ CPF. So I din buy any since I hv missed e train... : (

My view is the near support recently is around $2.54, these 2 days never break that level again and close back to $2.61 on Friday. Looks like more upside will be coming. This is quite a good stock, may even break $2.80 (the target price for most analyst) and strong momentum may even push it up to $3.00! Just trade with care.

Unbelievable! Charging like a hyperactive kid! Cleared my last 5 lots in inventory at $2.55 yesterday; I guessed it would probably go up further but decided to leave some money for whoever the buyers. Hopefully I had not unloaded far too early. | ||||

Following news that the SA bid to extend the boundaries of its coal mine in Indonesia has been approved, Merill Lynch initiated coverage of the stock with a "buy" rating and target price of S$2.80. Macquarie reiterated its "outperform" recommendation and increased its price target for Straits Asia to S$3.00 from S$2.25. "With the Sebuku (coal mine) extension granted, Straits Asia's rank will go up two notches to number 4 in terms of volume. Its margin too is as competitive as other Indonesian coal players," Merill Lynch said in a note, adding that the firm is its second-best pick in the Indonesian coal sector. |
