Can anyone share some advice why this share fluctuate at -ve 0.2 cents (from 8.64 few days back) despite all the positive news of BOS, profits and insititutional buying? I'm thinking whether this counter will ever hit $9.00. | ||

Last trade at 17:05, price 8.54, trade size 204,000. A good sign. I think some institutions are buying in. Once institutions start buying, price is almost certain to goes up. |

I was also surprised at the late surge in the price. I suppose it was the start of the market absorbing the good news. A pity it came too late, but better late than never. Let's hope it will soar next week and we all will huat ar! | ||

Invested 2 lots at $8.50 near closing. Then 5.05pm matching order chiong to $8.54. What's wrong? Fund managers coming in to ride on the positive reported earnings too? |

I think it's just the market la. Today's selling pressure is strong, affecting most stocks. Anyway, they just announce the result. Many still don't know. |

Yes. OCBC just announce a net profit of $1,962 million for 2009, up 32%. Plus Dividend of 28 cents per share. |

0049 GMT [Dow Jones] OCBC (O39.SG) may get a boost from good 4Q09 results from insurance subsidiary Great Eastern Holdings (G07.SG). GEH reports 4Q09 net profit +90% on-year at S$148.4 million. Citigroup says GEH's 4Q09 profit was "robust" thanks to strong performance on non-participating fund and investment linked profit. Says this bodes well for the insurance arm's contribution to OCBC's 4Q09 results (due to be reported Feb. 19); "GEH's 4Q09 life insurance profit may imply a small upside risk to our OCBC forecast." Rates GEH Buy with a target price of S$15.30; rates OCBC Buy with S$9.40 target price. OCBC closed down 1.3% at S$8.36 yesterday; pre-open quotes show bids up to S$8.43, no offers below S$8.37. vested with cpf yesterday at $8.56 today lao sai again. looking at the markets, seems like having the first stage correction here. I guess there might be another CNY mini rally in the markets. What u guys think? |

OCBC has been on poor showing for more than 3 months already, and the current weakness is more profound than the previous months in the midst of the global stock marketl bullish sentiment generally. Something is wrong with the counter. You don't know, I don't know why, but my capital shrinks with OCBC. Luckily have sold out at $9.00. Why did I say shrink? Switched from UOB and DBS, for a heavy opportunity cost, probably more than 50K wasted waiting for OCBC then. Sell for protection or locking in of the small profits you have if any, better than a loss later. |

The counter's buy/sell volume's were exceptionally high for the past 3 disappointing trading days of OCBC. From the looks of it, credit tightening in China may have stoked fears on banks' performance . Bear signals it may seem against other counters, but then again, one man's poison is another man's meat. Keeping my fingers crossed on a reversal. Care to advise / comment ? |

19,472 OCBC treasury shares were used for Employees share option scheme........they were not sold in the open mkt.
