Hi Eastonbay, Bollinger band - if the bands are wide, it doesn't really mean anything unless the price bars cuts them. If that is the case, then there's a chance of the trend continuing. Eg. if the price bars cuts above the upper BB, then there's higher chance of remaining in uptrend. W%R - the best buy signal from this chart is when it was recently oversold but has crossed over to the "neutral" region. For this counter, it looks like it will remain oversold for sometime. Acc/Dist - looking bad.... downtrending... Chaikin - inconclusive. I usually trust Acc/Dist more than Chaikin. Chaikin is more volatile. If you look at the math, the chaikin chart is actually derived from the Acc/Dist chart. I usually use Chakin to double confirm Acc/Dist trending. RSI - not too good. Downtrending over the past few days. Overall conclusion is that this counter's TA outlook isn't too strong. |

singaporegal, I'm trying to learn your quick TA checks using 4 parameters (Chaikin, A/D line, Bollinger, RSI, Williams %R) to provide an additional guide before my buy and sell decision. (actually more on my sell decision) Could you guide me if my interpretation is like yours? Bollinger is widening.. => no imminent sudden change in price Williams %R=> coming down and soon touching -80 i.e. reaching oversold situation Chaikin => coming down slightly. However, non conclusive A/D = still couldn't quite see if smart $ is in or out. RSI = a little downtrending but also non conclusive... Thanks a million. |

thanx both Kilroy and idesa168. I got in yesterday but as always I'm a little too eager to jump in (too impatient to wait) and hence at 1.91 for midterm investment. When it slided to to 1.89 that's when I asked Nicky to STOP!! haha. So Nicky, perhaps contra-ing now. idesa168, I understand what you are saying (as I have learnt much from Master Elf). But to think that they dumped almost 20mil shares in a short space of 14 days and hoping to buy back is a little far fetch. (no offense pls, only personal opinion). When such a big shot pars down holding, even a 5mil shares is enough to achieve that. What I'm worrying is that 'they know something we don't know'. 1.95 now.. hopefully it holds the ground. |
