You are right. The only thing is the UK operations screwing up the numbers. So yeah, it depends on how the market interprets the data now.

In short,Genting SP had net profit of $657million FY2010. Bullish news for me but not sure how the market will react to it .  |

Group revenue for the year increased to S$2,753.3 million compared to revenue last year of S$49.5 million due to the commencement of business of the four hotels, food & beverage, the casino and Universal Studio Singapore (" USS" ) of Resorts World Sentosa (" RWS" ), Singapore first Integrated Resort (" Singapore IR" ). The The Group recorded a net profit of S$657.2 million. Fourth quarter performance review – continuing operations For the fourth quarter of 2010, the Group recorded revenue of S$788.5 million and adjusted EBITDA of S$385.6 million. Singapore IR contributed revenue of S$775.2 million for the fourth quarter of 2010, an increase of 6% from the third quarter of 2010. The improvement in the revenue is substantially contributed by the increase in the volume of premium players‟ business with significant contribution from USS and the hotels. There was a daily average of around 8,300 visitors to USS with an average spend of S$85 per visitor. RWS‟ hotel occupancy for fourth quarter of 2010 was 79% with an average room rate of S$294. Adjusted EBITDA of Singapore IR for the fourth quarter of 2010 was S$389.8 million. This is an improvement of the margin from the third quarter of 2010 and is attributable to the increase in revenue. It is, however, diminished by a lower luck factor in the VIP business compared to the third quarter. Upgraded To BUY ! With TP S$2.75 |

4Q net profit is 91 million. Less than 3Q. The only consolation is the total net profit for 2010 from continuing operations met the target of 600+ millions.

Wait a minute. Just took a further look, net profit from continuing operations actually met the target of 657 millions for the year 2010. But after deducting the loss from the UK discontinued operations, it becomes 37 millions profit for the year 2010. Oh well. It all depends on how the market interprets the data. If you look at continuing operations, the target is certainly met. But if you look at the total sum, then its not.

GenSp lost money this quarter. Bear surprise lol.... Congratz to those who stayed out of the market. And I advocate that nobody venture into this market till STI bottoms out, and STI has far from bottomed out.

Why must chop fingers? As long as one is mature, and know beforehand that one is betting. Then it is okay to bet... But if one is stubborn and thinks the stock market is easy to beat, then one only have oneself to blame... but no need to be drastic...
