I agree with you on selling at below your support as a defence against loss.

But I find it senseless to ride from 2.80 to 3.50 (or higher) without at least a trailing stop...

Let's say you spend 1 year waiting for the stock to climb to 4.00

and then from there it falls back to below 2.80 (perhaps only hypothetic from your p.o.v)...

Don't you think you have lost out, not only in terms of cash, but also the time...

I will definitely consider such action (or in this example, non action) irresponsible, to put it bluntest...

I never seen past history chart. Why are you referring to past history? Break support, sell. If you read my previous posts, I never once said one should hold in a downtrend. Whether this is start of a downtrend or mere correction is hard to tell. Rememeber I was telling about my friend who bought during market low and he never traded so much and just bought and hold. He is good. He sold off everything when STI was around 3000. Did he go "'pok" by holding and following the major trend?

Like i said, in stock market 90% of people lose money.

well so far, i got many friend who play stock.

and so far, i only heard one person make money. That is my sifu.

although he also same like me, always "miss the boat" . but so far, he able to earn at least 100% per year in forex and stock market.

and never lose before over these few year. so i just stick to what he teach me.

dun want lose money in stock considered very good liao...

For any stock, we don't wait for ideal price. We wait for market reversal. If you always wish for your ideal price. you find you always "miss the boat".

I prefer dividend in cash.  No need to fill up the form.   No action required at my end.
