A vivid Short seller will not care whether  stock is promising or not. Anything is HIGH, they short!    LOL!

If this company fails,  SGX should start to relook at those foreign compnaies that  are going to be listed here.   If investors lose money, wouldnt it be part of the responsibility of SGX and the fund manager who allow that company to be lsited here without having to fully understand the company's ABILITY to be stayed 'investable' for the investors for the long term?

Ying Li issues earnings warning for its performance in H1

SINGAPORE: Mainboard-listed Ying Li International Real Estate has issued a profit warning for its first half financial performance for the period ending June 30.

The company said it expects its expenses to rise following the issuance of the S$200 million convertible bonds.

The commercial and residential developer said it also expects to record lower sales from the San Ya Wan phase one development due to market timing factors.

The company believes it will register a net loss in the first quarter this year, compared to the net profit of about RMB14,000 (S$2,812.73) in the same period last year.

It also expects the company to register a net loss in the second quarter ending June 30.

However, the company said it expects to be overall profitable in this financial year. - CNA/vm
