I hav got a story to share... A person by the name of STI likes to eat alot. Soon, STI becomes fatter and fatter each day. Suddenly, STI has a stomach upset. The first time it lasts only awhile. Then gradually, the stomach upset has become worse and STI starts to have diahoerra. Feeling sick, STI went to consult the doctor. Doctor said I found a bug ( sub-prime ) in your stomach. You should take a rest and stop eating too much. Soon, STI has lost his appetite has become much thinner. However, the stomach bug wouldnt go away. So, STI consulted a wise old sage called FED. The sage said, dont worry lah. Dont take any medication, your natural system will have natural immunity to fight the bug. Still, the bug would go away and now STI starts to be very depressed. Then... To be continued... |

This will be a domino effect! Stock market crash followed by property market crash followed by retail crash. Multiplier effect will work its way down somehow. This is not a correction anymore. Unless we have deep pockets, otherwise we will have our own credit cruch coming!!

Many broker house are worry of credit crunch from investors. they may have problem paying their contra loss. Some may have to declare bankrupt and their reminers were be in trouble. I think many broker house cut trading limit with their clients. with less trading limit, they cannot buy share to support the market from falling. Usually selling limit is much higher than buying limit, some investor short the counter without knowing they have a buying back limit, if their buying limit is $30K and they short the counter above 30k, say 50 K, they only can buy back 30k end of the day to cover their short position and balance 20K will be at the mercy of .... and the market sentiment and also have to pay some penalty. This is another problem which everyone knew and kept very quiet. It will be expose somehow when the problem is getting very serious and this will lead to another selling. Do you agree with me?? |

taybc, I don't play contra as very dangerous. Lose only spare cash which i can afford.Both short term and long term player. Waiting for China bubble to burst then stock up on our blue chips for long term. Short term-waiting for US fiasco to settle before entering. | |

Chipchip, agree with you, shd have cut loss earlier but was waiting for slight rebound to reduce loss, now become bigger,damn. Is STI following DOW's pattern last night, big minus first then small minus at closing? Guess its Friday today so everyone jitters on US tonight. | |

teresa, I agree with you, there is always opportunities coz the market is always there. If you are not playing contra, then you have option to either sell now or later depending on the risk level you want to take. Anyway, trade with care. Market still don't look good. Cheers! |

hiding up the tree may not solve your problem, the tree will be push down and you will be in trouble. becareful of hungry bear. I think after credit crunch is over, another wave is inflation rate from china, so trade with care. The usa is really very powerful, they can over turn the financial market. | |

I dont think anybody has made money out of this mess! Sian... all my profits gone done the drain liao! The river has become a red dam. Property prices will come tumbling now and those who bought properties for enbloc will have sleepless nites. Enbloc fever will become high fever for those speculated on it. Sub-sale owners will also have to let go now at a loss. The contagion will pass over to property sector next. Looks like the boom cycle is over and bust cycle begins now. Just my negative 2 cents. ( Note: Not an inducement to sell )
