According to median forecast by 66 analysts in Bloombery News' monthly survey. It will certainly help with 4,000 job losses reported last month. Chairman of house financial services committee. Mr Barney called for meaningful cut. Barclay Capital economists abandoned their prediction that FED (central bank) would hold rates till June, it now see cuts at the next three (3) meetings. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Basic market resilience must be proven with penetration of key resistances before new strength emerges. For STI, I personally see some resistance levels that must be penetrated. Just did an SR analysis of the DJIA. There seems to be resistances at 13178, then at 13200, 13213 (minor). A tough line to crack is the 13260. A few more minor resistances till 13500, which is a very key level to break. If it doesn't, tough luck, very tough luck.  Short-term to very short-term - mini-bull (rebounce a bit after a big dip. If Fed Reserve really capitulates to the market, yep maybe another upward bump for a few days??) Long-term: Bearish for DJIA, STI maybe optimistic for a while longer as it's a follower, and will still be balanced/influenced by Nikkei/HSI and perhaps a bit of Shanghai index. Purely my opinions, other observations are welcome.

It was a good time in 2002when the economy began to turn up from the 2001 recession hitting all cylinders for several years, creating one of the longest bull market in history. Is it a good time to buy when the economy has just begun to slide down the other side of the cycle? Keep in mind that for more than 100 years a bear market has come along every 3.9 years. The average decline even by the conservative dow was 30%. The worst ten declines amounted to 49.75% for the dow  It is more likely that Goldilocks is  being mauled by the bears for eating their porridge. What do you think?

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	What a ride for STI. It actually punched thru the 3400 support briefly to touch 3395 for a while. And it actually bounced back all the way to 3441. Looks like it gotta clear resistances at 3448-3450, then 3489, and then a psychological one at 3500-3505 before there is potential recovery for year end. The resistance at 3489 will be the tougher nut to crack. 3525-3528 is another resistance.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	A lot of meaningful post posted on Sept 9 and 10, 2007. All pointing to world biggest mkt, a volatile period and a slow down in US economie. A caused concern everybody on inter dependent on each other for trading, may need Yen, Yuan and EU euro dollar for some form of help...if not for US dollar used as a international currency. It would have long drop much faster then expected.
