STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

Saudi has 900billion of USD reserve. if they just use 10%, it will be 90 billion of USD, enough to bail the subprime issue out. and Saudi havent even come yet to invest. Now dhubai, Spore and China Plus japan areadi coming in. Soon u WILL see saudi come in.. Then why u think bush go middle east? i believe he is asking the king to bail USA out as he promised to work a solutions recently, i think this visit is part of his solutions.. Now u ask me why so many govt buying us stocks? the reason is simple, most of this govt holds huge reserve of USD and instead see it rot or lose more value selling USD to buy other countries.. will not just dump it into US economy to buy equities to earn higher interest than bonds and also prevent US drag the world into recession... when we see such heavy drop in stocks price, usually the peak may be near... this friday is option expiry.. i think reversal may be in sight, at least a smally up rally.. |

Yah i think 12500 is the pyschological line. however please note this.. company that have reported bad results (exclude) banks are those that have biz mainly or totally in USA. soon, u will see when the MNC that have bulk or big portions of their biz outside report their result, u will see they will perform much better than expected due to good worldwide economy and also the current low usd. SEARS recently bad result is nothing actually if u think, it is just doing biz in USA, its result wont affect what the MNC would perform. IBM is a guide for what you should expect from others MNC, i strongly think we will see a market rebound soon, when i dont know but i believe before the MNCs report their FY2007 result in Feb? Also Elliot Wave 5 is still not formed at this moment, what we seeing is a extended wave 4... all i can say is that those with cash will be kings soon.. WAVE 5 is the fastest upward wave... |

Chart is just a guide. Mkt up or tank, only the mkt knows. DOW supports at 12,500. If breach that line, hell will go loose. And STI may follows. Good luck! |

Technically speaking, the downtrend is far from over since the volume is still quite heavy today. Moreover, most counters failed to hold their August lows. U can take a look at my comments here on my blog. | ||||

haha so chiun , post areadi then GIC annouce they paid 6.8 billion dollar to buy 4% of citibank.. buy 4d also not so accurate.. with this i think dubai and saudi will soon make their move and "bail" us out of recession |

sporeguy, i found the chart once (believe some of the other previous posts here gave the link), calculated the support at 3,150 then at 2,800. wld be good to have your opinion? djia is down ~140 pts now. support at 12,450. think will break by thurs... |

Elf, you are very agile, going into gold. Wanted to get into gold half a year's ago (when cheongwee [hope that i quote the right person] kept posting on gold), but because of too busy with work, did not dig up enough info, so still without any investment in gold. Looks like i got sit thro it as gold has gone too close to TP. | ||||

hi victorf, i just want to thank u for the last advise but i closed my counters last thurs when STI hit through the 3312 mark(my own chart analysis). This term of certainty u told me really helped me recoup all my losses into profit. Thanks a million ps- would really love to buy u a simple meal. thanks again. | ||||
