STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

Fed cuts interest rates by 75 basis points Acting forcefully against economic risk and financial market meltdown, the Federal Reserve cut its overnight lending rate by 75 basis points to 3.50%, the Fed announced Tuesday. It was the first time the Fed had cut interest rates between meetings since the 9/11 attacks in 2001. "The committee took this action in view of a weakening economic outlook and increasing downside risks to growth," the Federal Open Market Committee said in a statement. Downside risks to growth remain. The committee met on Monday evening.

hope this u- turn is the start of something good.....lets see dow tonight....... Yes, jackjames, we must learn how to reserve & use our bullets carefully, cos not enough. Took this chance to rebalance my portfolio.....sold some shares to buy blue chip. Intend to hold for long. |

that's why rich people getting richer, because they got too many bullets, can shoot at different level while STI was 3200, 3000, 2800.... 2000, 1500...etc... haiih... like for us, one shoot, almost everything gone... must learn how to reserve more bullets man... |

The Ninja can't influence much on the world's investment climate. Lets see how DJ performs tonite. I foresee DJ will slide 300 pts or more tonite, I really pesimistic on the current market but life still go on. Cheers up. |
