Hi ak, Basically it is a no-brainer that DOW will rise on monday and maybe today as FED is expected to cut up to 1pc of interest rate. Hence, other than the STI double bottom or FA reason like rate cut. it is quite easy to knw that DOW will find support in the short short term. Hi all, Also i dun understand why someone trying to predict STI "doomsday" when his Charting and TA skill CMI. STI is still in range play to me. not good nor bad news, till the double bottom is broken or till the resistance trendline is broken then we comment .. |

well............ The rountine of this rally comes again...... always before a rate cut is expected... there will be buy up for hope that those in the office will act according to the sentiment and how much damage had been done to the market....... So far so good that fed didn't disappoint investors.... let hope that the cut is enough for investors to buy up and be confident of the market.... cheers ![]() |

BTW, watch our Shorting King, he will be in full action tomorrow. Hope he can help to lift the overall prices for us. You all know who lah, no elaboration leow. He he. |

Dun worry, as I said it could be ppl pressing down the market in the morning and lifting it up later to earn fast money. I small timer, no such strength and capital to loiter around the market. Nonetheless, STI and other Asian market, less Shanghai, gained ground gradually after 1530. EU markets also didn't fail us, Paris and Zurich clinched gain at 62 and 96 respectively. Folks cheers up man. |

probably got last minute buy ups and we might still end up in the green even though the region shows mostly red... ppl will still hope that market cheong up tml so they can earn fast contra profits...the Fed are expected to give a big cut...they are really expected to do so...let's hope they just act accordingly..because anything less would be a bad news... anyway should there be a rally...it will be an opportunity to offload for many too la..last Wed was a good example...and also today another example in which DOW green....then looking at the STI charts and many counters...fall from an opening high..a slide down... |

Look here! Basing of what they have just said, cut rate also bad, Don't cut also bad..... 0631 GMT [Dow Jones] STI remains in negative territory at start of afternoon session as falls for China, Hong Kong markets weigh; index down 0.7% at 2772.77 vs morning high of 2816.62. Support tipped at Jan. 22 low of 2746. Volume remains low as investors stay on sidelines ahead of Fed rate decision tonight; U.S. futures give mild positive lead, but overshadowed by worries on how market will react to Fed move. "An aggressive rate cut may not necessarily do the market good; it would confirm the weakness in the U.S. economy," says DBS Vickers strategist Yeo Kee Yan. Losers outnumber gainers roughly 399 to 163 in broader market. (KIG) ![]() ![]() |

85, now trade vol is just pass 400M, a lot of bystander and casualties around. Looking at STI, it can't hold. But I am for sure that we hv one guy now is marching to the bank already. Guess who, he he. |

initially after reading the report on wat Fed, i'm really very convince that we'll see a major cut tonight. But after reading wat u say, it seems that i'm really gambling that they will cut rates tonight. guess its better to stay sideline for the time being and wait for clear signs that the market has bottom out. |

yep Zanetti...tt's human psychology on greed...we shld try to read deeper into the macro-environment and see the charts as well...STI below 2800...is not a pretty sign...so is DOW closing below 12000...these kinda things happen for a purpose...it actually gives us some clue where we might be heading... if we gamble our money on hopes in stocks, then what is the difference to be buying Toto or 4-D...let's see deeper into the trend and news....inflation etc... we should study stocks and the market...'gambling' through stocks is not the way to go...luck will eventually run out...let's up our probability of winning trades through the proper strategies |

cyjerry: ya, there should be a lot of ppl buying at the hope of making some profit tmr. But they might not sell tomorrow if fed will to cut rates up to their expectation tonight(human are naturally greedy, when its high, and they see gd news, they will wan it to be even higher) Furthermore I remember reading an article yesterday saying that Fed will do anything to stablise the economy, so i assume that the rate cut will be at least 1% or we might even see 1.25%. If that happens, though ppl will still fear of inflation, but for the time being i guess the market will but quite stable. |

The greatest show on Earth is the current US Financial Show starring Ben Bernanke with supporting actors from CitiGroup, JP Morgan, Bear Sterns, AIG, ..etc. - Now Showing. The audience - the rest of the world. The result depends on how good the acting is. At the end of the day, they may be the ones "Laughing" and the audience shedding tears. |

probably another day of thin volumes...many were burnt in the recent market...staying sideline to watch before plunging in...a rally with thin volumes is not credible as compared to a heavy volume in which people start to have the confidence in buying again...this will take some time gradually |

I opine that should the Angmo raise the overall rate cut below 1% tonite, then tomorrow the market foxes will press down the market and later lift them up again for easy. Hence, should anyone buy for contra, don't panic should the above happen tomorrow. Remember you still hv +2 days, if market sentiment is not that bad day later. Anyway be vigillant. |

Bear Sterns died and Bulls still survive. The US problem is a known issue, there are no surprises. Buy on weaknesses. |
