Disagreements will be common when the family becomes larger. There are more than 15000 members in SJ now. We will encounter people of all sorts in this public place. I still find this forum much better than others in Singapore where back stabbing, mockery and insults happen on a daily basis.

Disagreement is common in any discussions. It is ok, if we remain civil. when I first posted, people were more cordial and agreed to disagree. then suddenly, there was this posted incident where one party sued another for libel over each other's postings. now there are more belligerent postings. look like the rot has set into this place.

I agree with fivestar. Let's live and let live ok? No point arguing in a forum. Let's keep this a friendly place like it has always been. There are not many friendly forums in Singapore.

Gosh...Gee...Why bring it up..?.This is a public forum for sharing different opinion, different view and not for public to scrutinizing or give personal opinionated onslaught. Don't really understand what so bad about posting here, just a Quick check here say is growing lehh...I can only said my English is lousy & show alot of typing mistake. really my typing is bad. just short it to 2,500 range and all will be happy accumulating the stocks without much of worries. In stock mkt if there is no downs, where to find ups? In the mkt sentiments, if you call for 10 sells, I am sure you will be 7 right and 3 wrongs. However, if you call for 10 buys, you are bound to get 7 wrongs. Be nimble, ups and downs, we make $$ and be happy with your returns! | |||||

hi guys, why are we here? to exchange our ideas on stocks,right? nobody is always right so that we should accept different opinions and tolerate others' mistakes or even misleading info. as long as they are not cheating us purposely. I am a lousy trader so I come to learn from your experts. I am also lousy in English so I usually keep quite. I like this place and these people,enjoy reading your guys' posts,but not fighting. hope everyone continue to contribute to the forum. let's share our gains and pains. :) | |||||

I can only advice ppl to avoid the Pitfalls and the lousy posters of this forum, i cant decide whether he wana accept and absorb the crap posted by these lousy posters. all i can say is birds of the same kind flock together, rich ppl mixed with rich ppl, good traders mixed with good traders. lousy traders mixed with other loust traders. these have been truth since the beginning of mankind. you are free to decide who you wanna believe and who you doesnt. Great minds think alike so does the common and lusy minds think alike too. IF you wanna be a good traders, all i can is trust the better traders more and dun bother with the mediocre and lousy traders "advices" and postings. filter the chaff from the wheat is the basic from becoming a good traders. listen to crap ppl, read and buy crap ebooks and u become a crap traders. be very seriously selective on what you read and who you trust. |

Why sudden seriousness??? All are here to share / promote their view. In the stock market, nothing is certain.....mood can change overnight or even within a trading session. You maybe right something but not all the time. From the SJ members view, take it with a pinch of salt as ultimately all have to take responsibilities for their own trading...win or lose...know your limits. Nobody is liable for your lost.....what if you win....do you share your winning??? Just don't be contented or even be at your comfort zone all the time as changes is inevitable. Cheers to SJ members be it positive new or negative...all are welcome as they serve as a reminder in both good times and bad times... Happy Hunting

Worst thing may be is over but the bad thing is not diminished yet........When Bear Stearns was in hot soup, talks on the streets on many small banks may go bankruptcy as well. Now Fed allows troubled banks directly borrow money from him to ease bank's capital shortage. So far, Fed didn't review which are the troubled banks had already been borrowed greenback from him. But today BT stated that BS was actually not shorting of cash but short of confidence from other big banks which refused to lend money to revive BS. JP is the sole winner, ha ha. |

Hachi8, my heartfelt appreciation for your positive's echo. I think most of the forum's members were touched over the long weekends. DJ up 261 last week's trading day, another bear trap? Who know. BT today, said that with such a volatile market, Buy Weak and Sell Strength is the strategy, do not Naked Shorting as once US WS rallies, 100m sprinter also can't run away. Lets see what we can do on coming Monday, no suggestion less the abovementioned. |

Phew! I guess the sentiment here have suddenly turn serious last 1-2 days or so. I would agreed with a few of the comments here. Basically, we're all here to learn/share/earn investment skills/informations/profits. There's no absolute white or black...most of the time it's greyish in color. Unless there's an online judge to decide, nobody can claim who's right or wrong in the first place as long as one follow the basic guidelines laid by the Admin. Ultimately, it's Mr Market who has the final say! | |||||

Reminded me of DOW chiong...+400 points after interest rate cut, so Monday STI also chiong (all green counter, so buyers is likly buying on sentiment), err..guess oni +60 points on cautious approach and end of the day goes on profit taking and closed off err... also guess oni +>10 pts.
