STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

yea..agree with ya AK...if we cheong further..we will be resisted by 3300..and profit-taking might present itself...however on DOW tonight...news wise...i dun think ppl will be please with Yahoo decision..there are increasing talks that Yahoo will plunge very jialat tonight and this might drag Nasdaq ...and DOW to be influenced too...Buffet & Alan Greenspan over the weekend spoke about US hitting recession when ppl are holding up their hopes high up... well..we shall only know how it will go by the wee hours of tomorrow morning

Hmm. closed at 1.435b. Starter price already. If 2morow STI cheong again, then coming Wed gonna be profit taking day leow. Players pushed up SGX 3 cents during preclosed period. They will be around 2morow. EU now half red half green, DJ not sure it can maintain moderately to discouraging profit taking. Nothing done today after lunch, loitering around kopi thiam. Only back by shown time to check got cheap stuff or not, boh leh. |

buffet reported in BT US is in RECESSION!... time to open CFD n get ready for the shorting party (where's nickyng? keke)...STI keep going up..most prob a trick to draw investors into the market then...SLaaaAM!.. bourses comes crashing down.. |

totally agreed..... However if those friends who never understand of geting in at breakout or break down price... they will always "laugh" or chid at me like : "Hey, why are u always buying some stocks that are already run for 5 bids and above, why u dun buy earlier and u can get more profit?" or "Hey, why are u selling off this good stock? u should buy at lower price..."
So wat is store for them? DANGER is the word i can say... again ultimately is the discipline that can get us smooth in our trading day... Cut small losses and gain more profir... let the profit run and lock half when it retreat at certain percentage.

Common mistakes When we all started we were "taught" when shares drop then you buy. When shares go up, you don't buy and some often think "miss the boat". It is common to have this mentality. But after a while, that mentality must change a bit. It is ok to cut loss. But it is also ok once you cut loss to buy back the shares at a higher price. I have often sold off all my shares to cut loss and then bought the share at a higher price. There is a good reason why I do that. Finally that loss turned into a profit |

Just don't be greedy. Investment with profit margin >= 10% in return is reasonable. Thin vol is not totally a bad sign. :) |
