Everybody is talking about a global recession. A few years ago, if one mentioned about Brazil, one would think of a poor third world country. Well not any more. Look carefully at what's happening in Brazil. Brazil is also one of the fastest emerging economies that is growing despite a US economic slowdown.

 

Busines Times on 26 May 08 - More Brazilians spending, economy not hit by US woes.

Brazil middle class is growing and they are taking more loans like never before. It used to be when US sneezes, Brazil catches pneumonia, but that is no longer the case. Thanks to a newfound economic stabiliy and vitality, Latin America is looking less chained to the fotunes of the US. "There is hard de-coupling taking place," Mr Carvalho , executive director of research at Morgan Stanly in Brazil. Brazil is doing well thanks to a combination of factors. High commodity prices, pushed by demand from China have brought in hard currency and created jobs. Foreign investment last year doubled to US$34.6 billion, much of it into the stock market which is one of the fastest growing in the world. Wages are rising and unemployment is falling. Strong domestic demand has taken over from exports as Brazil's main economic driver.

probably not much of a significant as on low volume..very sianz..

moreover now red...might end flat or green at the end of the day...we seen our STI went crazy last Friday  whereby last minute cheong downwards steeply...and yesterday...last half hour went up steeply...

finally the uncertainty ends yestearday on 26th in which the index is at 3103...market will recover further to try higher high till 18th July....good luck :)

* Alert Admin 		when we called for uncertainty mode in April 14th, index is around 3126...when i am back from business trip from Taiwan this morning, index is around 3138 as expected a month ago (and will not break 3192 resistance)....the uncertainty will end within these few days and my advice is to buy on dip....the recovery certainty mode will then last till 18th July 2008.....good luck :)
