A few instances of fake sell queue that are suddenly withdrawn spotted. With Wilmar thundering ahead, golden agri, indo agri and FR are becoming more and more compelling buys wih more upside. Just my opinion. Caveat emptor |

CPO futures fell 3.5% today. As GAR is highly sensitive, unlikely to do well today.

Forgot to add. Based on this observation, buy only at support levels when there is a sell down. Do not buy when there is a big run up unless you are prepared to hold out the T + 3 and longer. Of course all these while the fundamentals for the stock must not turn negative.Caveat emptor.

Those who bought on Tuesday between 1.02 and 1.05 when there was mild attempt to break out will have to settle by today. BB taking advantage of that to keep price low now so that any weak holders will have to sell. Price will move up to another level after this. Noticed this pattern with indo agri. Just my opinion. Caveat emptor.

wat is the percentage of profit before all of u consider selling the stock? e.g. if i bought GAR at $0.90 i sold it off at $1.00..does that consider good selling? or little earnings? |

Large volume sell down this morning to weed out weak holders. Support remains good at .99/1.00. godd sign if this level is not breached. BB taking opportunity of weak CPO prices to accumulate. Just my opinion. Still vested. Hoping for breakout soon.

Article from The Business Times dated 3/3/08. Golden Agri, the world's 2nd largest palm plantation with over 4/5 of revenues from palm product sales, is entering 'a period of very high yields', according to its CEO Franky Widjaja. In an interview with B T, he spoke about the firm's resources, its cutting edge plantation management system and it s long-term expansion plans. GAR owns 1.3 million ha of land - abo ut 18.5x the size of S'pore - on the Indonesian islands of Borneo and Papua, of which nearly 360,000 ha are planted with palm oil trees. 69% are in the prime- producing ages of between 7 and 18 years old, which positions the group to ride on the surge in CPO prices. A penny stock forced to restructure only a couple of years ago, GAR stayed focused on growing its plantations, Mr Widjaja said. The resurgent interest in plantations, thanks to rising food and oil prices, has helped its stock skyrocket in the last 2 years. But fortune favours the prepared - GAR's CPO production increased steadily from 1.37m tonnes in '04 to 1.6 million tonnes last year, even as prices have risen 6.67x from U$180/tonne in '01 to over US$1,200/tonne. In comparison, GAR's running cost of producing palm oil stands at US$200 per tonne, said Mr Widjaja. The firm also installed plantation management systems to monitor its vast lands in plots of just 30 ha. 'Its technology we developed 12 years back,' said Mr Widjaja. 'The question was, how can we grow to this size, yet actively manage as if it was our backyard? It's out there, by the jungle, the roadside. How can you make sure nobody takes your fruit!' Using SAP, GPS and mapping software, the firm collects data on soil conditions, year of planting, type of seed, rainfall, and fertiliser for each patch of land. From these parameters, it estimates probable yields. When actual yields come in, it analyses if the shortfall is due to weather or plant conditions, or to poor mgt. If neither of these - which can be remedied - the shortfall must be due to theft, said Mr Widjaja. In this case, GAR may assign more patrols, or guard dogs, or dig 3m deep trenches around the trees. Analysts have noted GAR's hi-tech mgt system, which cost it US$40m to develop over the last decade. In a report initiated in 4/07, BNP Paribas' Michael Greenhall called it 'the most tech savvy plantations player'. 'No other plantations company in our coverage comes anywhere near this level of competency ,' noted Mr Greenhall. GAR also helps develop the community, providing schools and water supplies. It set up a cooperative that buys food in bulk for cheap, then sells it to villagers. 'They are our first ring of security. If you ask the police to help you, they may take 1 day to come,' said Mr Widjaja. In the long term, he plans to build up GAR's downstream processing, to a level where it might use up all of the firm's huge CPO output. But rather than biodiesel - which GAR is exploring, but cautiously - he is banking on food products and vegetable-oil based oleochemicals. Still, GAR is now looking at acquiring more land, especially from small holders of up to 20,000 ha. Farmers with a few million dollars tried to plant land, but the trees only yield after a few years, and the farmers may need short-term cash. 'There are many, many of them,' said Mr Widjaja. 'If you want to do any value-added chain, plantations are the foundation,' he said. 'Refineries are easy. In 2 years, with today's cash flow, I can have a 1 million tonne plant, anywhere. If you want to plant, it is 2 years just to clear the regulatory process.' |

Well supported at $1.00. Very strong support level at 0.95 if 1.00 is broken. volume of transaction has increased significantly recently suggest to me that a breakout towards 1.08, 1.15 and 1.21 is imminent. Caveat emptor.
