Advance SCT Limited (the

chain by adding value to the recycling of copper scrap into refined copper

products.

The Company owns a copper smelter near Port Klang and the first of two

furnaces at this smelter started operation in April this year. The second

furnace is currently undergoing trial production and will begin commercial

production before the end of the year.

A copper refinery is currently under construction in Tuas and trial production

of copper balls from the first of three furnaces is expected in early 2008.

Earlier this month, the Company announced the 80% joint venture in

Shengyang, China to acquire an existing copper smelter.

Based on the estimated production schedule of the Port Klang smelter, Tuas

integrated refinery and manufacturing plant as well as the Shengyang

smelter, the output of from these newly built/acquired plants, by the Group is

expected to increase from approximately 24,000 metric tonnes in FY2007 to

approximately 86,000 metric tonnes in FY2008.

From 2008, it is the strategy of the Group to gradually expand the copper

supply chain by adding new production capacity in the region, which includes

but not limited to Indonesia and China. This may take place through new

building or preferably through the acquisitions of existing production capacity.

The Company collects scrap copper globally as well as through its

mechanical recycling network in the region, with plants in Singapore,
