When all the sifu's were talking about the impending stock market correction i didn't realize until half of my profits were wiped off. luckily last week I pulled out all my holdings, except a tiny stock which is meant for long term. Today i am watching the correction with out any emotion like a machine. I learnt lot of lessons from this correction. |

noticing panic selling just now.. anyone knows what exactly happen to SG market today? SG investors like specially scare today, especially the 2nd part of the morning even HSI drop slightly only. good time to pick up some stocks? |

Risktaker, pls dont be bother with others comments about ur postings. Just speak what is in your mind n let others decide for themselves. those that nag nag are those wanting straight forward "jun jun" prediction so they will do little to profit...haha. I do my own TA/FA n come to forum to see prediction and views to decide my daily tradings activities so far i am in good situation. pls dont give up ur passion ok?

Trade with Cautious - Do not simply jump in and buy when you yourself think the price is good. Please throw away TA/Fundamentals for now. Monitor your Stocks, Sometime you have to cut lost if you think thats gonna fall lower. It will be worst (Just not a correction) if market sentiments didnt change this coming week. A correction might turn Bear. Things to watch out. 1) Consumer Spending. Pre-Data shows that christmas spending has been hit this year yet again while consumer tighten their pockets. When spendings are low the impact will be spread across all sectors. 2) High Unemployment Rate - Estimated to be 10.2 -10.6% (March 2010) before it head south with the current economy situation. Will be 10.7> if things doesnt turn around as predicted. 3) Manufacturing activities - If it head south again. Prepare for a Bear market. 4) Pre-GDP to be release soon. Estimated to be a growth of 0.5 to 1.2%. Good luck. Currently we are in a Super Strong V-shape recovery, if all the above sectors came through with negative results. We "might" are going for a W recovery. |

Haha Risktaker guess what? I also notice, almost every time when my post sounds bullish, I get a good rating. Almost every instance where I caution the mkt/indicate potential lack of upside, somehow detractors tend to give negative gradings. Guess this says a lot about how many retail players are vested on long side... Frankly, the ticks/crosses mean nothing to me. As long as my own trades perform to my expectations, I'm fine. Ignore the market signals at own peril, I'll say.

Don't dive into apparently cheap stocks yet. I think STI 2400 might just be tested, perhaps a little faster than expected. But doubt it will be a straight line down. Keep nimble, do not be fixated with 'correction only la', 'just scare retailer la', or 'die die must buy/sell' etc. Flexibility i.e willingness to cut loss (or better, take profit), is key to surviving in the mkt of sharks. |

waiting for dows to breach below the 9400pts today.. ~ my ah gong tell me one..
ah gong said if below 9400pts, then is bear market liao.. hope tonight can go down hor..
ah gong quite zun one.. ah gong wont bla-uff one.. :p
ah gong also said hor.. anyone can say anything.. but what differentiate constructive comments from rubbish is making a comment that has a dateline to it.. only then we can justify whether at the time, the forecast zun or not..
ah gong told me STI will shoot up to 5000pts in times to come, not just edge past 3000 nia..
he also said dows will hit 20000pts, SSE will hit 5000pts soon also..
i think ah gong going to be quite zun coz the period to that forecast is infinity (maybe 5yrs, 10yrs, 50yrs??) mah.. so sure zun one la.. will happen in times to come, hor? mmm..
STI at 2200pts?? possible also leh.. maybe soon, maybe another economy recession de bottom, maybe.. on monday.. maybe...maybe.. mmmm...
anyway.. my ah gong passed away already.. he just conveyed the message to me when i dreamt of him yesterday.. miss ah gong..
