hey jasjasjas, no prob, i'm vested in this too, so just sharing info. us small fries must stick together. :) btw, i'm a she, not a he. no gender realignment surgery hor. keke. back to biz: update for yesterday's action. I know a lot of small retailers are selling; but i'll let the data speak for itself. As follows: TA indicators: Chaikin, A/D, RSI, Williams all up consistently for at least 4 days. Price constant (despite heavy retail selling), bollies getting tighter each day. Implication is a breakout, likely upward. Actual BU/SD data: sellers outweigh buyers. But insti/likely insti BU/SD: SD: 502 lots via 8 sellers, ave lot size 62. BU: 862 lots via 7 buyers, ave lot size 123. Make your own calls yea. ;) |

hullo fellow allgreenies, counter did not run up as much as i expected, probably due to retail sellers getting nervy. And yep l_tan888, will tell when i'm selling. Do note i have no net access at work tho, so likely to post late. In case i can't nip out to get access: Follow the BBs. :) The following info for you guys, so you can make your own buy sell calls: actual chart data (keke, mebbe we should take turns to do the work next time!): sellers outweigh buyers 1.7 to 1. But note the following: insti/likely insti BU/SD: BU: 926 lots via 7 buyers, ave lot size 132. SD: 456 lots via 7 sellers, ave lot size 65. So a lot of action if you see volume, but little price movement. It's being controlled quite well. A lot of retail sells. One beautiful buy up of 605 lots late in the day. TA-wise, bollies tightening, AD and CO consistently up for 4 days already. implication of a breakout soon. Cheers, all! :) |

hey l_tan888, no prob, i know how it's like to work and not have access to the internet too. *erk* AG: likely to continue uptrend tomorrow. confirmed by its AD and CO charts today. all up for at least 3 days. RSI, williams all up as well. best of all, its bollies are pinching in. hehe. and yep, your concerns are perfectly valid: they're mine as well. given that AG's fair value is btwn 1.33-1.44, it has really overstretched its premium already (of course, the calls were made by the BBs...so take it with a pinch of salt man). and yes, noticed too that most counters will dip after posting results, no matter if results good or not. which is why AG is strictly a TA trade for me, and also why i said i'm looking to run friday/mon, all things remaining the same. and yea. keep close watch on vol/price data. that's the best advice i can give. the moment you start seeing dumping of 50, 100, 200 lots, and only retail buy ups (<10 lots), that's your cue to dump too. you have quite a big amt tho, so perhaps try to split up your lots to sell? and hey, let us sell before you man! :P BBs are buying into s'pore market still. that's why counters are up. if you noticed tho, the blues are mostly stagnating already. we're at 3rd wave, starting to enter its second stage, ie., rise of the midcaps. this was one of the broader reasons why i chose to play AG too. :) |

Hi elfinchilde, Sorry for not following you up after 4pm because I was called away for a meeting and it didn't finished until 6pm. Anyway, I'd like to thank you very much for your valuable advice. Of course, I agree that win or loose, none of us can blame any of the forumers. We still have to take our own judgement and accept our own destiny eventually. I have 160.5 lots (plus the rights issue awarded recently) of AG, but I think I'll hold on for a while more and see what happens now that the BBs are active on this counter. As said before, actually, I've been holding them for almost 10 years already and thought of liquidating them soon because frankly, this counter had already gone up too high above valuation. Do you agree? My concern is when the FYE is out, the counter will collapse, like what happened to Wing Tai 2 weeks ago. On the day after Wing Tai's FYE, it dropped 7 cents, despite announcing good profits for the half year. Like they say, "buy on rumours and sell on news". Sometimes, I think I still don't understand at all???? Another strange phenomena I realized today is that many counters (not just AG only) suddenly experienced very heavy buying at the last 5 mins (between 5pm and 5.05pm) before the SGX closes. Why do you think so? Okay, let's "cheong" for AG and make more ang pow monies early next week. My thanks again to you and also other forumers who contribute to this thread. It's interesting to see what tomorrow and Friday will bring. |

godpa, all adults here. undergrads oso considered adults. should be old and mature enough not to have blamer attitude. elf is right. should always make own judgement call. if win $, no sharing between punters/investor right? if lose, $ also didin't share loss mah. so always make buy/sell call on your own. i only watch from sideline for AG, but interesting to find so many forumeers here buy in AG cos of elf *grins* today bought (and sold off one) liao. now only crossing fingers that tomorrow will still be broadbased uptrend for market. today index up 56+ to close near 3300. am worried abt maintaining it for the next few days. |

eep, godpa, i still maintain that ppl MUST make their own buy/sell calls.... having 'followers' can be scary, since no one is ever 100% right on the market. and i mean, make $$ no prob, but if lose *touch wood*, likely to get blamed. :( don't want that leh....i'm just sharing what limited info i know. so pls ah ppl....make your own minds up....i'm just one opinion only! bunnie, you tell BB movement from the actual buy up sell down time/vol/price data that you can get from poems (for instance). eg, 16:39:20: $1.68, 20 lots, buy up. 16:38:19: $1.68, 30 lots, sell down etcetc. i don't know what UOBKH provides so can't tell ya there..what you need is the buy up sell down (abbreviated: BU/SD) Need to make judgement calls at times. Large lots are easily spotted: like for AG, the discrete lots btwn 1632 and 1638 hrs @ 282, 78, 50, 486 and 113 lots resp. confirmed institutional buying--common sense: how many man on the street retailers can buy AG 200 lots (the ave of the 5 nos above) at one go? the difficulty is when they split their lots up. How you can roughly estimate is if the lots are spaced less than a minute apart, and are even sized, eg,: 10 lots at 16:15:21 buy up, 20 lots 16:51:30 buy up, 10 lots 16:51:35 buy up. these are likely to be one trade. i.e, 50 lots. esp if they're traded at one price. sometimes give and take: you can estimate one wrongly but another will be right. they're rough figures, but it gives a gauge. that's why i put the phrase "insti/likely insti BU/SD". alt you can just tot up all the buy and sell vols resp, and count ave lot size. if buyers outweigh sellers, and lot size bigger for buyers, it's a hint of buy. might have white noise from retailers tho, esp for punting counters like genting and SC a while back, which can be misleading. one last thing: BBs like to move btwen 1130 am to 1215, and again from 1630 hrs to close. (you can see this from AG's data today). esp at early stages of accumulation. this is perhaps to minimize the chances of retailers interfering with them i guess... |

elf, how u tell BB buying in? special code? cos UOBKH, cannot tell leh other than the B-A vol and price. or it's me ah? still not familiar in tallying vols/price with BB characteristics. |

ok peeps, final data for AG today: insti/likely insti BU/SD: BU: 1956 lots via 22 buyers, ave size 88 lots. SD: 399 lots via 10 sellers, ave size 40 lots. The above excludes the final trade of 144 lots that is not shown as bu/sd. last traded price: 1.72. beautifully done. :) |

whee, l_tan888, are you with me? the BBs are super buying this counter now. btwn 1632 and 1634 hrs alone got three big buys at 282, 78 and 50 lots resp. 1638 hr got two large buys spaced 1 sec apart at 486 and 113 lots resp. keke. |
