agreed with 168, if u track the intraday pattern, be it buy or sell, u may see is a particular counter is being attracted high interest by the BBs. really can't affort to play together with them, they got all the resources. Of course, AK kena by them before, but sometime also peow chew loh, suck thumb liao. |

mmm...when a counter cheong, must find out what is the underlying reason for the cheong. It coulld be the buy and dump case by the BBs and the last one will be left carry the baby....Biosensor indeed cheong in the morning, but do we know why it cheong? I had a check and there is no absolute reason to command the surge. Hence I derived it's been played by BBs, and usually they will dump at the end of the end, depending on the mkt sentiment. Good luck!

JJ, good to hear that time is at your side since you are just 28! Try to diversify into various sectors to prevent hard knock on this volatile mkt. Good luck! Cheers!

chartered ? no worries la... no time for chartered now.. these 2 days really shock me especially Golden Agriculture. by the way, I am pretty sure, Jim Rogers made many singaporean vested at commodities funds, and i think they are dropping as fast as all the agriculture stocks... poor thing.. but again, a quick rebound.. shall happen... |

Hi Jack, If small loss it's alright. Yes, it is likely to come up though it is a penny stock. But don't buy weak stocks like Chartered though it may be cheap. For me, no buy until reversal:) |

aiya... after 10 years, i am only 38 years old.. what for i go and cut loss now at 0.56... i am not that silly... unless u tell me CPO price will just keep dropping until 1800.. then, one fine day it will come back what.. who knows next month easily cross back 0.70.. never know right.. of course that can be a way to console oneself when he is on paper loss.. by the way, it's only 15% paper loss.. won't bite right... you will soon see I quote this reply , saying here it comes, welcome back to 70 cents, LOL... In summary, if you are so gia shi... afraid oil price drop... , then, you can buy cosco what... you cannot say oil price drop, CPO drop, metal price drop, corn price drop... then, cosco material cost are still maintain high... then, buy some counter which hedge the CPO or oil price.. either way you should earn money... my stratergy... pull the time zone a little longer la.. short term volatile won't wet your pants, no worries.. i believe Aug 17, and March 20 made many people eyes drop.. |

I dun average down on such pennies. I might do so on heavy weight blues, with a time frame of 1-3 years. The blues will usually come back in 6-9 mths after being battered down. To me, GAR is purely for trading only. Wrong entry, cut loss. If correct, ride it up! Commodity counters are very volatile one. Not advisable to go long term on commodity, maybe a small amount to huge against the inflation...my view!

In fact I think if one is on huge paper loss, and then try to "console" oneself by saying you are a long term investor, the investment mindset is a very dangerous one. |

If one is a "long term investor" and on huge paper loss, it does not make sense.

I am not asking you to follow. The fact that the price goes down after taking an initial position is already an indication that the position taken was a mistake. The more sensible approach is to get ready to cut loss rather than exposing to more losing trades by buying more. This is from a trader's point of view. If you are a "long term" investor, this approach might not be appealing to you.
