With experts warning that the worst is yet to come, even genuine investors will probably stay on the side line for now. Unless there's a mess sell down again by the BBs to generate vol. again but that would be a big negative news. Moreover, Soros & ex Fed chief are warning that this may be worst than the GD in the 30s........ i guess gone case for short term liao. | ||||

I don't think the volumes are good today. In good times, it will have crossed 800 million by now and total daily volumes are more than 2 billion. It is only 347 million at 11.35am.

Yeah, no one knows how low it will go. I think I will just accumulate slowly, near term will definitely suffer losses but I think if you can hold for few yrs it should be ok right? You know the mentality is like this, when it starts falling, everyone sees an opportunity, but when it keeps on falling, pple got scared and no one dares to buy.. And then few yrs later, you see how the counters grow, you regret.. It's like this when u observe the volume, at its lowest, it's really thin, pple only starts buying when they see some light, meaning the px would hv increased, so it's not easy to catch the bottom.. cos tats how human mentality works..

During 1997 crisis STI down from 2200 to 800 just about 1400-1500 pts correction... this time STI from 3800 to now 1600 already went down 2200 pts !! I still remember Singtel trade below a dollar during 1998 !! how low can it go base on previous percentage ??

actually I intend to buy Schroder Singapore Trust and currently trade below SGD0.80. unit trust comes with high initial and annual fee make me step back...So I decided to pick up 4 counters to form my own porfolio (no bank counters).
